Installments as usual. Hopefully we're getting a decent downpayment. I'm surprised Villa agreed to a sell-on clause too. I'd have thought they'd have bought that out by paying over the odds as they have?
I can't see it being more than 10% because of the already inflated transfer fee. The statement itself shouldn't be carp though as it's a financial legal requirement so they can hardly mislead the SE!
I meant the percentage. Like you I think that it will be about 10%, max 20%. Still ,when he signs for Real Madrid at the end of next season to join Ronaldo for £30 million, it will still be handy. Although can you imagine the whingers saying that we shoudn't have sold him to Villa
Lol. Villa will probably free transfer him in four years time just to spite us, having withdrawn him from every England squad going
You should all know my views by now As much as I like the lad, I think he has been vastly overated, therefore IMHO we have a made a financial killing on the deal. I would not be surprised if we had the oportunity to buy him back in a few years, at less than half the price.
