Only one place better than our best finish . God it seems insane now that we once finished second in the top league.
Fourth kit being exclusively revealed on Hive Live before the game. At a guess I'd say it's blue so we can then cover off the remaining teams where we don't currently have a kit clash.
Ken Sema's in Portugal with Sweden for tonight, and Cathcart's away in Norway with Northern Ireland - pretty harsh putting us on a Friday with internationals on the Wednesday. Might mean that it's Kabasele, Troost-Ekong, Wilmot in a back three with Kiko at LWB if we're sticking with 3-5-2. Sierralta also played last night (not suggesting he'd have been in the picture), but that might mean we're light on defensive cover. Derby have David Marshall in goal for Scotland, who will presumably be okay to play on Friday. The only other starting XI player I believe is affected is Jozwiak, who started at LM against Norwich and is in Poland's squad (playing Bosnia in Poland this evening).
Wish they'd just scrap internationals this year, with the more hectic schedules and risk of self-isolation
Looking forward to this. Last time I saw us at Derby we got battered and Matty Whichelow scored a really good consolation goal for us. Seems an age away now!
Thinking a big win here to put our rivals on notice. You won't catch us. You have no chance. We are the famous Watford FC and we're going to win the league. 0-5 (Capoue 7, Saliba 12, Rockman 34, Mandzukic 71, Deeney 88 (Pen))
Reports that Wazza Rooney is in line to get the job if Cocu keeps losing. Got to wonder about the dressing room in situations like these. Will they try and get Cocu out if they like Wazza?
No minutes for King Ken again last night so he's only played last Thursday for Sweden. Cathcart also didn't play at all last night and wasn't even in the squad so not sure if rested or injured. He played the other two NI matches though. Troost-Ekong was released early so he could prepare for the Derby game. Could've been much worse for our international players!
Senegal's second international was scrapped as well due to the opposition having Coivd, so Sarr also presumably came home early.
I'd suggest a huge loss at home to a misfiring side relegated from the prem would help their cause. Wazza, you know it makes sense.
Deeney has been training on his own as he's still not fit so isn't available for this game. Be interesting to know if that's still a result of the knee injury or more his usual post summer shape not cutting the mustard for Vlad.
You'd think Capoue will be. Had two weeks to work with the team and he probably feels he has a bit to prove, after handing in a transfer request and getting egg on his face.
Hopefully if he is motivated.... I'd like to think he isn't the type to sulk about not getting a move.
I'm guessing Hughes on bench, Capoue in start. I am going to join the list of people that do weird formatted lineups that don't work on mobile: ------Foster-------- Jez N, WTE, Kabasele, Wilmot, Kiko ------ St Etienne, Chalobah ------ --------------Cleverley-------------- ---Sarr---------------Pedro------------- Subs - Sema (been in Sweden) Cathcart (been with N Ire) Deeney Murray Garner Quina Hughes
