We can still create posts on this site connecting/linking them all up and can have a bit of "top bantz" on here about what is going on and who might be who.
If someone sets up the accounts, I'm happy to run a game from the first week of August until the start of the new season. Or if anyone else is happy to MOD, I'd be happy to play too.
Give me a couple of days to put something together, (unless Meister and the boys can sort something on here)?
Meister's making some enquiries, but it's a difficult one to get right without a lot of work. May well have to have a pilot off site, but he's certainly looking into it.
I'm not sure i could take the stress of another game quite yet. Plus I have lots and lots of work to catch up on
Meister has sorted out the cemetery issues so whoever moderates the next game just needs to supply him with names of players. As mentioned earlier by a few of us I'd suggest an offsite trial game as the next game with all of us having different usernames. I think you're all right as well, lets wait for the international break in September and by then I should have a very good setup offsite that people would want to use, (mothballed between games).
For usernames with ex-players I suggest it would be easier to remember if there's one for each letter of the alphabet; Abdi, Blissett, Callaghan, Deeney, etc. downsides are there's only one Q (Mick Quinn), no X but Xavier Gravelaine would do and limits us to 26 but I don't envisage us getting that many.
I was thinking of a few really well known players like Luther mixed with historical figures and the odd celebrity and sporting legend. EG. Luther, Theodore, Elvis, Pele, Elton, Marilyn, Diana, Jesus etc. Any more ideas?
Hitler dragged jesus out to the town monument by his ball hairs, gleefully cheered on by the baying mob of Darth Vader, Skeletor, Scooby Do and Mahatma Gandhi.
A ressurection wildcard!!! That would be awesome. Any player good or evil is also randomly assigned the "Resurrection" card. They get notified as soon as killed and can play it whenever they want to get back in the game as the role they were when they left.
Serial killer role should be introduced too. They are not a villager, nor a wolf. They are on their own, and each night they have the option to make a kill. If they survive the whole game, they win and everyone else loses!
No idea. Not thought that far ahead yet. Would be pretty cool if it came back as good tbh. They would have everyone in the game against them, and not one team mate, so they'll need all the help they can get.
There is a huge list of potential other roles if you google werewolf. might want to limit to 1 or 2 extras. personally never seen the point of masons.
Yeah, I didn't include any masons for that reason. Pretty pointless really. It doesn't really add much to the game.
Probably Evil! I get why you'd view them as Good as it's 1 v All, but that would potentially compromise every Message in the game as there would be no way of knowing whether to trust that message or not.
In the first game this summer when none of the evils were caught, had we had masons I think the outcome would have been different. Had we had a witness then the balance would have shifted too far towards good.
Could throw in another seer, who doesn't get to post an anonymous message but will be told whether someone is a serial killer or not. E.g. I view PowerJugs , my response would be 'Serial Killer' or 'not serial killer'. I find the more confusing games are, the more entertaining and hilarious they are!
And a Wolf Message could instead call someone a Serial Killer...? Yeah. Wolf wouldn't necessarily benefit nor face drawbacks. Yeah. I like this. Best part is if you kill someone 'Very Good' you don't know whether they would be Wolf Seer or Serial Killer Seer, at least immediately.
I like Masons. Like Otter says, on the days when a potential good is picked, they can tip the balance. Also, as a wolf, it slightly changes the dynamic of the game. You want to try and break up the masons, rather than taking out the villager least likely to be protected by the guardian.
The masons are only as good as their strongest player though. Like everyone else, they are all only guessing the other non mason roles.
