Watching SSN I saw a small bit on the front page of the Pomey local rag. 'Hornets make cheeky James bid' Couldn't read the rest. Wouldn't mind him.
His 123 Premiership clean sheets haven't been down to defenders like Traore you know. England's rightful number two
As a young keeper he was my hero, would love to have him back here as a final swansong but got as much chance of that happening as Foster staying. Would certainly be good enough for the champinship as would get more action and therefore less chance to loose his concentration! After Foster, he has been the second best English keeper this season (Don;t rate Robinson due to his inability to save long shots). He was good with the fans on Monday giving everyone a clap and then a thumbs up when we sang 'england's number two'
Is it me or have the media turned (or tried to turn) a 110% flippant tongue-in-cheek remark of a non-story into an actual newsworthy report? :dismay:
What's wrong with Richard? I think he is a brilliant keeper but just hasn't had his long run chance in our first team for a long time as he went to Blackburn for a season and then Ben stepped in for 2 seasons. I think he deserves to be our first choice goalkeeper next year and he has got a lot to show as he is still very young.
