The man is a legend (when i was 11 one of my rabbits had the fortune of being named connolley ;D..the other mooney of course), he's basically scoring every game. Should bring him back home i say!

So, just to clarify, you think the short annoying Irish lad who came from nothing, got his chance with Watford during our relegation season, scored a few goals then robbed our club of around £1m in potential transfer income by buggering off on a bosman at the very first opportunity - but only after declaring our then newly second division club too small for him in a national newspaper - should be re-signed? Is that your final answer?

 

well everyone else seems to love smith! (and again.. i wish they wouldnt) so maybe youll all learn to love Connolley when he's bashing in those goals for us instead!

Ok yes he may have been a little bit of a "pr**k" but many of you have said today that its the results that matter! Smith basically said our club was crap and yet now everyone loves the little git.

Smith did very little wrong in comparison with Connolly. Sure he made some comments to the Derby Evening Post but basically they were what any player says when he signs for a new club. And no, even if David Connolly walked out onto the pitch at the Vic, got down on his knees, kissed a Watford shirt and then begged everyones forgivness I would still boo the little pikey right back to Holland or wherever else he wants to scarper to costing us money.

Certain people believe that. I'm on the opposite side. It's a pretty interesting debate. However, I can honestly say hornettecarly is the first Watford fan I have ever heard come out and suggest David Connolly come back here and be forgiven for what he did. The guy is an A rated prat.

 

Im sorry i was just a young and naive girl when he was playing for us, and i guess i just never really took in the controversy around his leaving. Having said that, i tend to just think stupid. lol
