Yup, huge surprise! Sadly couldn't watch the games tonight and won't be able to watch tomorrows either :rant:

 

The Daily Mail have identified Battochio as one of Italy's three danger men against England.

The 23-year-old is a player who Watford fans will be aware of after he spent two seasons in the first team before being shipped out on-loan.
He is the main focal point in midfield, and the Virtus Entella loanee is slick with the football who adds a real touch of class to the Italian line-up.
He may still have a future at Vicarage Road if he impresses new boss Quique Flores during the tournament and pre-season.

 

I haven't watched much of Italys games at this tourney sadly, but he hasn't had the greatest of tournaments so far...

Saw a list of teams who have scouts at the tournament yesterday, oddly no Udinese or Granada scouts but apparently we have scouts there (unless Udineses count as ours).

 

Guessing that we'd prefer us and Portugal both to win tonight to miss Germany in the semi then!

 

Not touching the England game tonight but I think Portugal to win against Sweden at 4/5 is very generous.

 

Two goals conceded in two minutes mid way through the first half, that will be it for England.

Our young players look so out of their depth tactically compared to Italy. Technically they're not good enough to overcome the high pressure from the italians.

 

And people wonder why Watford go abroad for their players rather than buy English.

That Lingard chance just now. Any other team would've whiped it with the inside of their right foot either cut it into the near post or rolled it into the far. Lingard smacks it with his laces and it sales wide. Technically poor after a good run. Chalobah not tracking back too and not sharp enough with his passing.

True but those bad days aren't few and far between from what i've heard.

Just now from a corner, all well and good to keep the ball but italy are pressuring our defenders and they just panic and pass back to the keeper. So poor from us.

I think we should give him a go. Southgate fails wherever he goes. Otherwise it's going to have to be, dare I say it, a foreign manager to develop them on international football. In the end though, no one see,s to care about under 21s
