    That his wife?

He posted his wife......you must have seen her before, as he's always posting photos of her on his Instagram.....but usually with her clothes on.

I guess she sent him something last night as maybe they were not together overnight? He's posted it on Instagram by mistake, takes it down and sends a message saying "Sorry, my mistake". After he's thought about it for a while, he posts "Notice: hacker on. Sorry again".

You simply can’t post things on a ‘story’ on Instagram without meaning to do so. To post to your story, you have to go through about 4 or 5 steps. So it would be multiple really obvious mistakes!

The only ‘mistake’ he could have logically made us sending the story to ‘all’ rather than ‘close friends’ which is something you can do. But it still begs the question - why send it at all?

The message on the porn pic would suggest to me his wife sent it to him. Maybe she actually did it, has access to his account and thought she'd sent it privately to him. It's odd I know, but seems to fit.

But more likely, like you say, he's bragging to some friends of his "inner circle" who he's sleeping with. I've thought in the past how he shows her off as some trophy with the other photos he's posted of her.

If it's the latter, like I said last night....I wonder who he's more in trouble with...the club or his wife.

But he's made the situation even worse, not by apologising, but after a few hours is now making out he was hacked.

A ploy to get more followers.

Or testing different approaches to get the club more supporters long term.

I've never really understood why we can't appoint an English DOF. Giaretta had no knowledge of working on these shores before he came here, seemed a baffling decision at the time. As there's more focus on HG talent; it makes sense to get someone who knows English football.

Nath? I'm looking at you kid

Who gives a toss what the bloke posts on his social media.

He should be judged on how crapily he’s doing his job.

Not a chance. Gino is cleaning up on the club’s ‘Recommend a friend’ hiring plan. He has earned enough Nandos vouchers to never be found wanting a grilled chicken wrap

Because it demonstrates poor judgement and poor decision making skills, which is a key element of his actual job so is naturally of concern.

Well, "lads" probably think it's all ok, but there are certain sections of the fanbase that will care. I'm sure the supporter groups that complained about the Qatar friendly will be up in arms once again. I suspect SD will be furious, that a high profile, senior Watford official posts porn pics on his official Instagram account. The fact he then apologies for it, then a few hours later posts another message in the exact same style proclaiming he was hacked. I'll leave it up to others if they believe that.

It's a terrible PR own goal, when SD is trying hard to restore family club values.

Not sure how this will play out. Of course Twitter is having a field day, and rightly so. Will Giaretta be reprimanded or dismissed even? His track record for signing players is appalling. Only Dennis and Kamara could be considered successful in terms of impact to the team and value for money. He must be on a tightrope and now this ridiculous Instagram thing.....might be the last straw.

Exactly. If he were good at his job, nobody would make a fuss. They’d laugh it off.

Because he isn’t, it’s brought out the moral outraged brigade, happy to have yet another thing to moan about before the actual season starts.

I’m most certainly not a lad and it’s not the sort of thing I’d entertain thoughts at posting on my social media.

But I can only responsible for myself and my actions, not others.

I think they would. This used to be a “family club” before it turned into the sleazy gambling-sponsor laden, porn star marketing gimmick, clown show we see today.

It's a ****-up. It's not malicious, it doesn't damage the club's reputation in any real sense, it doesn't make us less of a family club, and it's not a sackable offence.

An older guy made a genuine mistake on his phone after receiving an intimate picture from his wife.

It doesn't give any insight into how good he is at his actual job (imo, not very).

I disagree, when you are in a position whereby your moves are going to be followed by many people you really have to be careful both in what you say and what you transmit on any media. His actions show a complete lack of judgement!

I think people are more upset the standards of the club have sunk this low. From the first team up to the directors there is no discipline. There is no professionalism at this club anymore. This would never happen at Liverpool because they’re winners from top to bottom, and if it did you know their reaction would be 1000x the weak attempt (if at all) this club makes to rectify the situation.

As laid out above, to post something to your story on Instagram takes a number of steps - it’s not just a simple ‘oh I hit the wrong button’ thing. He would have had to hit several wrong buttons.

It’s hardly crime of the century stuff - but I don’t see how it can also be labelled a ‘genuine mistake’ in terms of it being an innocent one.

An error of judgment as opposed to an innocent mistake is what I’d label it as.

I'd be inclined to agree if it was deliberate but to me it just shows he's a bit rubbish with his phone and social media and that's it. It's caused no harm, it doesn't appear to have involved his employer's premises or happened during work time and he resolved it quickly (if not without the classic boomer line claiming to have been hacked - lolz).

But it wasn't a judgement? He hasn't weighed up the pros and cons of broadcasting his wife's hoohaa to thousands, and decided to go for it.

It's not equatable to say, Andre Gray's homophobic tweets.

Not sure I agree with this - I know the angle you’re coming at it from…but if he signed the best players on earth, whilst simultaneously posting a load of bile online, I think most would still care.

I agree. It's hardly an accident. He's even managed to cover her with butterflies, which I doubt would be there if it was intended to be seen just between the two of them. Nope, it's a huge error of judgement, he wasn't hacked and now he'll have to face the backlash/consequences, whatever they may be.

Depends on the definition of bile I guess. I would be horrified if he’d posted anything racist, xenophobic etc. I wouldn’t like anything sexist either and I guess you could argue that post was, although it was his partner I believe.

Honestly the world has gone mad in this 48 hour heatwave. When we should be discussing a lack of signings, instead we are discussing strategically placed butterflies on somebody’s private Instagram. You couldn’t make it up!

It's 4 presses of a button, one of which is where you select who can see the post. I've seen older relatives make much more inexplicable mistakes with their phones than this.

If you think it wasn't an innocent mistake, then what was his intention?
