I can't work out why Jordan is so effective as a death bowler yet his first couple of early overs see him banging in average bouncers. Why not just yorkers throughout? Stinking second over by him

 

Samuels the luckiest cricketer around? Had about 4 lives against India and just got one here. Could be huge in this game too.

 

I don't understand the reviews procedure in T20. Right decision but on field umpire gave out, didn't request review and batsman walked. Yet there he is carrying on. Either they introduce proper reviews or they don't.

The side-on umpire can ask for a review to check on run out/stumping and whether a catch carried.

Yes, evidently it was a very late call from the on field umpires. No problem with that.

Can't believe it. Stokes has been great throughout the tournament but two shonking balls to start the over and then a great shot for the third to throw it away. Typical bottling. We just don't have that killer mentality.

Shows the advantage of batting second. You just know what needs to be done.

 

Horrible way to lose. But that was as good a sporting tournament as I can remember. Every game was brilliant to watch. Shame we couldn't cap it with an England win.

 

Not moaning about it as it was the right decision but the Samuels reprieve was key in the end. They went after Stokes at the end there, obviously learnt from the mistakes of others in the last couple of matches.

 

Did billings drop Samuals? If he did he's more at fault than Stokes IMO.

 

Ok, I don't pretend to understand cricket fully, but why did they put Ben Stokes in for the final over? Surely they must have better bowlers than him? I could have done what he did, and give away 24 runs from four deliveries. Maybe he should just bowl underarm in future.

 

Stokes has been the in form death bowler of late.

 

One of those weekend's where you wish you didn't give a **** about sport...

 

Death bowler.....more like suicide bowler. There are big moments in careers and you are remembered for these.

Was he the man for the moment??......poor choice to put him in and he'll have to live with that for the rest of his career.
