Look behind the first bloke standing up.

The seats are blue, they didn't even have a photo of the supporters at home, they have had to use one from the Reading game.

Lee is a clown, belongs in the circus.

Loach may not be covering himself entirely in glory at the moment, but rest assured he is a decent keeper learning his trade who will at some point in the future earn the club some £££££££££££.

We would have to pay the farmer to take that donkey Lee away.

Sorry WAS but you were pretty much on your own on the Coventry reaction thread in believing Loach could have dealt with that header any differently. Nothing about it was simple - certainly not really catchable with an experienced **** like Morrison standing on his toes and a Watford defender nearby dawdling in no-man's land.

As for letting goals in which are within reaching distance - which ones? The goals vs Coventry would have all needed wonder saves and although I've only seen the Cardiff goals on TV but none of the three 'normal' goals seemed like giveaways to me.

I'm happy with both Loach and Lee as goalkeepers. I think they're both decent, though not world beaters. Loach has age on his side and so may grow into a top class 'keeper, but at the moment, he's good enough for the Champ.

People have some sort of fantasy notion that we are going to be able to go out and get another Ben Foster. Ben Foster is way, way out of our league and we were very lucky to get him on loan for the time that we did. Even he, however has his nightmare moments. Same of Seaman, Casillas, Cech and I'm sure even Skilly Williams dropped a catch once or twice and maybe should have been better positioned now and again.

The goalkeeper's role is the most unforgiving. Duke screws up some chances and people are on here praising him for having a go or being in the right place. A goalkeeper makes a similar split second mistake and we are talking about a blunder and that the goalie needs to be changed. People forget that Loach pretty much won a game single handedly at Plymuff.

Loach is a decent goalie. He's one of the better ones in this league IMO and will get better. I think the criticism of him not coming from crosses is at best an exaggeration and at worst a myth. Lee is also a decent 'keeper and should Loach be injured or out for a few games, I would not feel unhappy with Rich between the sticks either. Neither player is perfect, but show me one position in our team which cannot do with massive improvement? We're a struggling Champ club this season and I think we have a top Champ goalie. Dropping Loach for "poor form" (ignoring his form at Plymuff) is the wrong move. What's Lee's form? Will it do either of our goalkeepers any favours to be chopped and changed? Not in my opinion. Sure, if Loach has week after week of bad games, then Malky would be right to "rest" him, but at the moment let's not get all reactionary. Say Lee plays on Saturday and is at fault for a goal. Where do you turn then? You have two goalkeepers then who have effectively been shot to pieces and so the rot starts to set in.

Even you agreed with me he should have dealt with it better

His reactions have for some reason become slower. You would expect the keeper to react and attempt to make a save within 6ft of him, even if he is predicting and antisipating where the ball is going. I would rather he did this than just standing there watching it go past.

I'm not going to make any secret that I think he is over rated. I think he will end up as a bog standard Championship keeper during his career. He has too many bad habits and flaws in his game to take him to the top. I said at teh strat of teh season that i thought we needed an expirianced keeper with either Loach or Lee as back up.

Look at the difference between Marshall jumping up off the floor to punch the ball away and how he dominated his area compared to Loach. He is miles away from that standard. There is a very good reason why no one came and bought him on the cheap in the summer, when all clubs knew we needed the money

No he didn't, any goalkeeper worth his salt would have collected those balls which led to the chances. Loach admitted it himself, said he kept himself out of jail. He was lucky that he didn't let any in, because then everyone would be saying how he should have come for the cross etc.

It is very true that it is unforgiving, but that goes with the job and is no excuse. If you makes a series of mistakes, you get dropped. Loach has made many, many glaring errors which have led to goals in the past year and made many, many more which he has got away with. That would be fine but for the fact he hasn't learnt a bloody thing and keeps making them!!!

I'm sorry but many, many goals that have been conceded since Loach has been in goal have involved him standing on his line as they are scored from 2 yards out, or see him running frantically across his goal line ala the U21 Finals. You could probably choose a randon match on the watford world highlights and see more than one example of it. Burnley last season thought he was the worst keeper they have ever seen in this division, and it seems apparent to everyone apart from Watford fans that he is far from being acceptable at Championship standard.

Surely that is always the case? That is how Loach got in goal in the first place. Lee dropped a couple of crosses for consecutive games and so Loach was put in goal, which is the reason you have more than one keeper.

    Spot on.

I don't know how much longer people can keep banging on about how young he is. He has spent a full year playing every single match for us and hasn't improved a jot. If anything, he has got marginally worse.

Would it be acceptable for any other player who is 21 to not improve for a year and still play week in week out? I doubt it.

Nobody came in for him because much like John **** O'Toole, age is used by Watford fans to mask obvious failures in a player for far too long. Everyone else can see he is rubbish.

    agreed.

    1st goal was a penalty.

    2nd goal he mucked up

3rd goal it was a header at the back post right.

4th goal hit the crossbar to go in.

Hes in the england u21 for a reason.

Doyley seems to have lasted pretty long.

Loach is young, regardless of having a full season. Goalkeeping is all about decision making and that improves with experience. Experience comes with age and games. 50 first team games does not make a player experienced.

His kicking has improved drastically, last season he couldn't even make the half way line. Ok he shanks a few still but they are generally well aimed towards the corner of the opposing penalty box.

I think a lot of you have never played in goal and haven't got the first clue what you are talking about if I'm honest.

    Agreed

He also said that he now has a big EGO - where's the evidence/source???

Only one of those goals was down to him and despite errors for his club side David James (to name just one example) was consistently picked for England and never dropped from his club side....."howlers" by outfield players often go unnoticed at the end of a game because during the whole 90 minutes their routine and good bits of play outnumber the unforced errors - why can't that be true of goalies too?

Give the guy a break ffs - he is by FAR the best goalie we have at the club and will eventually be as good as Alec C - perhaps NOT Foster but....it's early days!!
