Where have the more recent updates been? I watched the Copa America games today and I too was very impressed by the Peruvian right back, who is called John Galliquio. He is the guy who wins the ball and makes the assisting pass in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKLq_BMum2Q He is 27 and still plays for Universitario in Peru. He is incredibly strong, fast and composed on the ball. I can't get the Universitario main website to work properly to show a page for him.
I havent really seen anyone who has impressed me although I did miss a couple of games by accident :doom: But That Preuvian guy looks good
Ecuador 1-2 Mexico: Ecuador lost there game to mexico which means they wont be going to the quater finals but again Christian Benitez imressed with a MoM performance IMO. Benitez came close 3 times to scoring with his first effort just wide from a tight position whlst his second was quite similiar to Chris Eagles goal vs Everton but only this time Benitez was further out more defenders around him and the Keeper made an amazing save. The third effort was a long shot from around 20-25 yards in which the ball was flying towards the top corner but there keeper made another fantastic save. Oscar Bagui ,another one on my list didnt have as good a game as he was at fault for their first goal but apart from that had a good game. SIGN BENITEZ UP !!
The big story here is the UEFA under 20 World Cup. Games are spread right across Canada. Saturday (courtesy of a Fathers' Day present from my kids) I get to see a "double header" Spain vs Jordan and Scotland vs Costa Rica.
