According to the local rag round here, Clarke was MOM for them against Leeds at the weekend. Also said that although not fit was still the best they have got.

Will be good to get him back as I really rate him

They're still going down regardless. One man does not make a team matey

Excellent news. Hopefully he'll be back in contention for a first team slot against Middlesboro, fully fit n all.

Anyway DJ - can't you see the evilness of loaning them their best player by far and then taking him off them as the season reaches it's crucial climax? ;D

When he heads the winning goal at wembley in the cup final in the 96th minute we'll be thanking the gippos for getting him match fit. Look at the long term, it's only a bloody month and despite Clarkey they have dropped into the relegation zone, so he's clearly made all the difference.

This was some of the match report about luton at leeds and about Carlisle.

The defence with luck were holding out well, no thanks to the midfield, who simply wandered aimlessly, allowing Kishishev to display his Premiership class ( quite why Charlton can let him go is very odd until you remember Pardew can't judge a player) to run the game and Douglas bombing forward to support Cresswell and Johnson.

Clarke Carlisle is good at communicating, but if that is him playing when sober. I suggest he goes back on the sauce pronto. An alehouse defender, who is good at fonding the opposition forwards. Decent in the air but not match fit and by the time he is he will be back in Watford reserves.

    Agreed.

    - So you hate him for wanting to get match fit and going to the ONLY club who made an offer, he wasn't going to get fit strolling around in the reserves.

    - Waste of talent and better off without him ?? If he's a talent then surely we should be better of WITH him.

Its not his fault he had bad injuries, and what if Marlon King went on loan to Luton as well to get match fit, would you be saying the same thing.

As Clarke said,I need to get fit and I cant play in the prem being unfit and said he would be a liability, the only choice he had was to go on loan and come back with some games under his belt.Clarke did say I hope politics does not get in his way of getting fit.

Malky will be retiring,Demerit may move on,and Carlisle will be a big part of next years squad.
Matty spring is in the same situation, being Boo-ed because he came to us,but yet the majority of luton fans have told them to shut it and support him.

Really pee"s me this kind of attitude, and what if we had signed Carlos Edwards who we were after, would he have been boo-ed as well?

What muppets for saying you don't want him back. he plays for them for a month, they start relying on him (only has a couple of weeks left anyway there) and then they loose their best player. We in return get a fit player back and can get him ready for next season when he will most likely be a starter if a big club comes in for Dan Shittu.

As already stated, no one else wanted him and his two games for Luton have resulted in 2 loses for them so he is not gonna keep them up single handed is he?
