Hate me as much as you like. I know it's only mid November but I'm bored without any proper footy to look forward to for another week! When are everyone's trees going up? Seen some already. Think ours will go up in the next week or so. Why haven't Watford FC released a decent Christmas jumper in the last few years?! The one on the site this year is pretty dull.
Not sure what it’s like up your way, given that I’ve found the Northern states less mental than Texas, but there’s several houses in my neighborhood with lights all over their houses already. One house has had lights up for at least 2 weeks already. Madness.
Our tree will go up on Christmas Eve, or the weekend before it for convenience, and will come down on the 1st or possibly 2nd of January. That’s quite long enough.
Ours is a right pain to put up and take down. I'd rather put it up early to enjoy it more and increase the time between putting up and takng down! I'm thinking of buying an additional real tree this year too!
The The pines drop off like crazy so I hope you like picking things off the carpet before some barefoot individual gets stabbed. Get a plastic one. Cheaper and easier to maintain. Oh and musical Xmas thibgs that go off when you walk past are goung out the window. Xmas movies will be switched off too. Seen one seen them all.
Xmas is banned until Dec 1st with me. Until then any shops playing Xmas music will lose my business. Tree goes up 2nd weekend Dec and comes down 1st weekend January
I used to hate Christmas but now that I skip all Christmas work drinks/meals and just do stuff with friends and family it's actually really enjoyable
If you get a real tree a Scot's Pine will drop far less needles than the more traditional Norway Spruce.
Save the trees and just re-use a 20 year old plastic one. The whole xmas experience is plastic anyway.
Real christmas tree production is a rotation. Not particularly environmentally unfriendly. If it wasn't for the christmas market they'd never be planted in the first place.
Cheers. Yeah thought about lights on it. First year in the house so need to work out where to plug things in. No external sockets so through a window probably. And need to get a ladder to get the lights to the top!
