The regulars in the pride of paddington went over - said they had a great booze up, never stopped laughing and said how wonderful the German football fans and people were. This time in two seasons we will be in Europe again. I cannot wait for that to happen again. The best away days you can have.
We found that at the World Cup this year. Every single German we met was courteous, friendly, helpful and very pleased to see us. It took us a few days to get used to it.
I always found Germany the best place to hitch hike when i followed England in Europe and couldn't afford trains etc. Always got a lift quickly and ended up boozing and meeting friends of the people picking me up.
