Why do only the good (Non-Pozzo Udi/Gren) loanees go back to their parent clubs after just one freakin' month? 'tis one of life's mysteries to be sure.

Obvously if he's been utter carp or if he had had some kind of "muscle imbalance" we would have been stuck with him for the whole season.

I think our best eleven is probably the team that would be out with your chances, though I'm still undecided who I prefer from Anya, Parades and Pudil on the flanks.

My suggested team wasn't written with the intention of putting out our best eleven though - it's with the aim of keeping our key players fresh for the league.

 

We signed him late in the loan window - I can't imagine Palace would have wanted to loan him out for three months as that would have left him back at their club in March when they clearly didn't have a use for him. Hopefully we can get him for the rest of the season, though.

 

It seems as though Pardew is looking to bring some new players into the club in the transfer window......so there might be a chance of seeing AG back.

 

Jedinak will be away (and I think Bolasie too) over the next few weeks. I would expect Pardew to want to keep everybody he can over that period.

Why are we going 'positive'? Crap idea. Everyone goes 'positive' when they're playing a big team in the cup. It's hardly going to catch 'em unaware is it?

If I were the manager, although I'd tell everyone I was going positive and hint at 4-3-3 and devil may care etc. In fact I'd play 9-0-1 with wee Itchy McAnya told to stand by the centre spot, just our side of the halfway line, in the 'on your marks' position and wait until someone gives it a bloody great hoof over the top.

It's not like we're realistically going to out-football this lot, is it?
