Not sure why anyone thought Pearce was going to do a good job at Forest. His track record is poor and he comes across as an unintelligent man. Fist pumping full back yes, thinking manager no.

Interesting Pearce is the sort of managers a lot of Watford fans would want to appoint - someone English, passionate and with lot's of experience of the championship

Derby 2-0 up already within half an hour at home to Wolves in the lunchtime game.

 

**** sake, first goal I go for a P1ss and Derby score, second goal I switch over to Chelsea and they score straight after... :dismay:

 

It looked like Wolves switched over to something else for the second goal too. They're carp.

 

Think we'll need to work on defending crosses/set pieces before the Derby game or they'll score at least once from it.

Heard rumours he's on £60,000 a week and Brighton are paying up to %50 of that.

 

Surprised it's as little as £60k to be honest, given that he cost around £20mil.

 

This was Pearce's reaction after the ref and linesman gave a corner and the 4th official intervened and gave a penalty. I never thought that was allowed - but Pearce shows real class and dignity.

"It took a while for the decision to be made but eventually the right one was and we accept that. We'll never be a football club that bemoans the match officials.
"I saw Britt handball it and so did the fourth official behind me. I'm not quite sure how the referee and his linesman, who were closer, could not see that but fair play to the referee. He has admitted he couldn't see the incident.
"We've got a lot of hard work to do before the Charlton game next week. The players need to show me they're up for the fight.
"We're not going to use the penalty as a smokescreen or an excuse for why we haven't taken something from this game. We didn't play well enough. That is the bottom line."

 

Yep fair play to Pearce for that. I don't think that changes his record/potential as a manager though.

He's only unfit and improper until March, though.
