Ive heard a rumour from a friend (yes i know, not reliable :) that we are intending to place a bid for Hoefkens of Stoke. A belgian international, Hoefkens has received acclaim for his performances in his first season in English football. He has become a fans favourite at Stoke and was recently crowned 'Fans' Player of the year (2005-06), attracting interest from premiersip and championship clubs. It could also apparently involve a move the other way for francis (can we send kabba too ) I know this is not very reliable, as i cannot find a source or anything, but i was just wondering, what do people think, should we buy another defender? With Shittu possibly moving away, and Mat Jackson a little on the old side, would you accept Hoefkens or another defender?

I think we do need another defender, if this guy is any good may be worth it, especially if Kabba does go the other way It would be a shame to lose Francis in a swap like that, despite him being shittu for the majority of the season it's a lot of money to just let him go in a swap like that... How much is Hoefkens valued at?
