Car Valet Poll

Took the motor in to Kwik Fit yesterday to get the boys in blue to check the tyre pressures (saves getting your own hands black).

Followed by a trip to the Audi garage for an oil check and top up.

So the Audimobile is ready for an FA Cup outing, nearly.

It could do with a good clean inside and out, the country lanes and bloody farmers dropping mud don't help.

So decision time, should I valet myself (it's a nice day) or pop down to the next village, where in a little old garage about 10 of our friends from overseas do a cracking inside and out job for less than twenty quid?

 

For gods sake man....... wait till you get back at least!! They dont drive cars down there, only tractors.

Yeah sure it's a nice day but i'm pretty certain you could find something better to do than clean your car. Take it down the next village let them do it and go and find a pub with a garden whilst you wait.

 

Our friends from the Baltics every time. In fact my cars with them as I speak.

They also let me leave the car most of the day, saving me £2 on parking tickets

inside is spotless. Windows washed, inside of doors cleaned, everything polished, hoovered out a bit of Febreeze for good measure.

Checked to ensure a new pot of Extra Gum is present and the lead to connect the Ipod to the CD player.

just the exterior to do after luncheon.

 

I would do it myself, you would get a better result.

 

The old illegals do a fine job, supervised by the English boss.

Good work. Washing my car is one of those jobs that when I get started I have to give it the full treatment. Having said that I tend to try and not get started. Give it to the Eastern Bloc boys to sort, good engines on em don't you know.

 

I've often wondered how much those car wash places make in a good week. Would probably shock us.

 

Quiet a bit, as the cleaning materials they use they would obviously get in bulk and they would use alot of it when cleaning a car.

 

But are they declaring it on their tax returns. if not they are taking money out of the communtiy instead of adding to it as most of them send the money back to where theycame from.

 

They place near me always has a queue.

90% of vehicles have inside and out done.

Average price about £16 / £18.

I am always amazed at the Porkers, Ferraris etc that are in the queue.

If you go near the end of the day, when ever the wad comes out when you pay the English chief the wad is huge.

they close around 7pm, yet tonight at 6pm they had 4 cars on the forecourt in the process of being washed and another three queuing on the road.
