[REPORTED] Callum Styles

Have been given more info today but it’s a bit vague to be honest.
From Barnsley and plays international football.
I’m sure someone on here will know more about Barnsley’s squad than me.

 

Would have to be Callum Styles I think (don’t think they have any other internationals). Hungary international. Think Millwall have a £2m option on him. Really good versatile player.

What were you told? That he is over the line, of interest etc?

The words were ‘ we are signing’ so would assume it’s pretty close

 

Callum Styles along with Healey would suggest we are finally waking up and have a plan. Not to mention actually backing a manager. Desperate for that to be true.

 

These are the 4 options. Don’t be surprised if it’s Fabio Jalo. Was on the books of Benfica before joining Barnsley.

The only reason I could think of at this stage as to why he'd come here instead of going to there is that Millwall might not be able to stump up £2m plus wages

 

That and Ismael influence I guess.

 

(Slap on the head) Of course! Any other Ismael players, from Barnsley or otherwise that would be worth looking at? Mowatt is the obvious one, and I've always liked Daryl Dike at Championship level, but with his injury record it would be a risk (especially with us signing another striker with a history of injuries!)

Would be interested to see the games per position chart for Styles @reids. He seems to play everywhere!

 

Was merely told international but I would assume it wouldn’t have been mentioned if not senior

 

Would suggest a serious change in direction if this is correct, the kind of signing many of us were calling out for on relegation last season. Up and coming EFL talent, available at a good price, capable of staying fit (118 appearances in last three seasons).

 

Styles is really good, excelled under Ismael in his Barnsley side also

Sadly they don't break down the radars per position so lump them all in together, so not much point on one for Styles as he's split between CM and LWB which doesn't tell us much at all

Yeah he knows people at the club - most recently remember him calling Wilder early.

He also features on a prominent pod and just wouldn’t make this stuff up.
