You're quite patronising. I like how you're trying to tell a club that has been one of the the Championship's longest servants how it'll pan out next season, and that we might not go down. Quite frankly, the way you're talking is absolutely moronic. Brighton won league 1, yes, congratulations, we all know. Yes, you have a new stadium. Again, we all know, but we don't really care to be honest. What we care about is ensuring we're playing at least Championship football again season after season, acknowledging that this is one of the toughest seasons in the Championship for years. There will be teams that are consistantly worse than us, and there will be some that are better. You don't know how your season is going to be in the Championship until you're right up in the thick of it. Personally, with the teams here next season, there will be some that sink lower than expected, and some that perform much better than expected - like we did the season just gone, flirting with the playoffs up until the end of the season when we hit a poor run of form as the depth of our squad (thin incase you didn't know), started to take it's toll. Now, go and revel in the glory of signing your star Will Buckley, and your Chairman & manager in which you all trust so much... You really need to think before you post. (See above). Congrats, you knocked an understrength Watford team out of the cup... 0-1. Huge winning margin that. Must mean you're going to come up and absolutely walk the Championship! I suggest all BHA fans get off of their high-horses now before the season starts - because the 11/12 season could well bring you crashing back down to Earth with an almighty bump.
I'm away in Brighton at the minute and drove past the stadium today. To be quite honest I don't know what they're all getting excited about. It looks completely soulless and unfinished. Completely identikit and right in the middle of the motorway. Not a proper football ground at all really.

I have seen him play numerous times and I would say that he is a much better player than Buckley fair be it he has been playing in the SPL and the standard isnt great but he does look technically better than WB and looks to have a better end product
The whole point I was making is that Vicarage Road is a football ground even for all it's faults; BRighton's new ground is a soulless dome in the middle of nowhere.
Unfortunately, thats what modern football is turning into. Wembley, I preferred the old one!! The Ricoh was ***** last year (although I enjoyed my trip the year before when we demolished them 4-0) Happy days :drinking:
The difference is they are moving from a place that was never their home. They now have their own stadium, which is 5000x better than being in a tiny, shyte athletics ground because you got c ocked over by your owners. It isn't like most moves, which are from old, historic, atmospheric grounds into horrible, crisp-bowl places.

I use to think Watford fc were a good club. The amount of *****/bitter people beggars belief. Buckley is a BHA player now so deal with it. I've tried to have a sensible debate on this but as always a few idiots quickly turn this thread into a slagging match. What is it you don't like about us? Better stadium? Bigger capacity? More season ticket sales? Bigger attendances as from next season? Finish higher then you next season? Nicking your players? More financial power? More stable then you? I could go on but you get the idea.

I've sat and watched this thread go but I think I'll step in. People are saying they don't like you because you're all becoming arrogant and getting far too big for your boots. And you have just proved this in the above post. I personally have nothing against Brighton, I've always felt sorry for you in that dump of a ground and I think your new stadium looks fantastic. You didn't 'nick' Buckley. You paid £1,000,000 for a player who I'll admit was rather exciting to watch at times but also wasted opportunities and lacked end product at times. He dived a lot and I think a player who has played 32 Championship games, getting a total of 5 goals. And 4 assists. Not particularly great tbh. I think £1m is about right, I'd have preferred to see him stay, but we got a decent price, so you hardly 'nicked' him. Finish higher than us next season? Probably. But I'm sure we'll manage to get over it.
It's growing on me , I might become a Brighton fan now. The beach is wonderful which is great 'cause I like to sunbathe and the night life is to just to die for. Any ideas of any hotels that will welcome me in a special way. Ta Ta for now. XX

Lets move on... ___________________________ A mate I know in Scotland said that there are strong rumours that Craig Conway is going to play for a Championship side next season. He follows a lot of Watford due to Malky's playing days up there, and has seen Buckley play a few times, he says Conway is MILES better. Hopefully, on this basis, this championship side is us! I know Palace are interested in him though...
When have we ever had a pot to **** in, It hasent done us to bad recently one of the longest serving championship teams got to the prem and play offs a few times we will be fine this season weve been in a darker place than this before and weve been fine we always are. Fantastic a new stadium but it wont get you 3 points, Just ask Doncaster, Coventry. etc

Did anyone read the Will Buckley interview in today's WO (NOT online yet..) Praised us to an extent in terms of being supportive but there is no doubt he was pretty keen to join Brighton for the obvious reasons and didn't think we saw the best of him.
