Deal. In that case, I propose we kick off 4 weeks of further debate about Sarr’s cross v Reading. I genuinely feel it’s got the legs to go the distance (unlike the cross, lolz) and keep us occupied.
Choudhury is a fine midfielder at this level, especially at his day job, but we're simply asking him to do things beyond him. Kayembe is generally pretty average with the odd storming game, I'm all for TDB getting a shot
Think both of these categorisations are incredible generous of you, but I definitely agree with the rest of it.
We quite clearly need 2 or 3 additions in the window. We lacked ability and quality today, and the players looked very leggy. We need a goal scorer, a creator and a ****inh right back!
At no point did it ever feel like a win…until I left the stadium and saw we’re somehow 4th. What a poor league. And yet what a horrifying prospect EPL would be with this squad. Troost did well.
Half way back to the city and camped out in a pub. That was f***Iling awful. Some of our fans clapped them off ffs.
2 goals conceded out of 5 with a combination of ***** makeshift defenders 8 goals scored out of 5 with our supposed super strike force. Perspective......
Promoted teams do usually sign a bunch more players in the summer. And consider what a horrifying prospect the Championship would be with this squad next season but without JP, Sarr, Choudhury etc.
Bilic could take a dump in the centre circle at Vicarage Road then wipe his arse with the shirt and fans would still clap him.
Yep, witnessed people clap the players off and then go on to complain about how little effort they put in. Well don't clap then! Other embarrassing fan moments: The ******* who shouted "What do you think of Luton?" when Lest We Forget was being read. They might have been on the concourse, not 100% sure, but we all know it's Remembrance weekend, use your brain mate. The idiots cheering when Gosling was hitting the ground and started singing "He's gonna cry in a minute". The guy went down on his own, clearly with some kind of ligament/muscle injury and had previously had no controversial moments with the fans, why were they mocking him In terms of the game: Gaspar and Kamara are appalling. We had absolutely no creativity on at the start, the most creative maybe being Sema? We were completely static all match, why are there no runs in behind under Bilic? We just play in front of teams and hope they're as crap as Luton.
All the players were off it today to some degree, maybe it's the bug that went round but physically they weren't right. But they have 4 weeks to recover now. We start again next month in a strong position with the right manager at the helm. looking forward to part 2 of the season!
Obviously a poor performance but its important when we play badly we at least get a point. It’s a great shame Louza is injured because he would make a big difference. Hopefully we can add some quality in January. We have at least got ourselves in a better position, and there seems some team spirit which was lacking earlier in the season
Edwards was not the problem. He just wasn't the answer, but then there's a long line a managers that preceeded him to prove that. I don't think we'll ever know what happens at our club to render most players "gutless and ordinary with flashes of skill"?? Makes no sense to me and for several years now we continue to bring in players that look to be decent but once they're here they're told "no you're not ready to play yet" and then weeks later they get a game and look utterly poor. (most go on to other clubs and play OK). It rankles me a lot.....
We'd have to sign Choudhury and Davis on perms if we go up, neither of whom are proven quality at Prem level, and would have very little money for any actual quality signings, next season doesn't promise to be exciting either way! The better scenario of course is promotion, if only because it makes the next season when we more than likely go down again more interesting!
Prime example of this - Dawson. Rubbish for us, then goes to Spam and looks three times better. Although this season...
Football fans. If it’s not immediately obvious that it’s a serious injury, they’ll mock and shout the usual. We’ve had our fair share of accusing players of cheating or time wasting and they’ve ended up having a serious injury. Not sure it’s worth getting upset about.
Players clearly knackered after recent two games a week schedule. Another point. I think most of us would have taken being 4th going into the break for the world Cup that nobody is going to be watching a couple of months ago
Ouch. Proves again how badly we need to do as much recruitment in January in the RIGHT positions. This new bloke we have brought in will have a chance to show what he can do in that department I guess. Gosling won't be back anytime soon, shame as he is playing some of his best football since he arrived. Let's see who we have back after the break I guess.
Saw the line up. Expected the worse. Checked the score at the end, take that. Obviously not much fun for those who went though!
Oh dear, so much for my half-time optimism (or just delusional hopefulness?) - what “style” was that? Two shots all half, with a last-minute one that barely counted. Well, I suppose it was a means to an end if that point ends up scraping us into 6th place… That was an Ivic/early Xisco performance at its worst by the looks of it, not sure why as the previous two away displays weren’t bad.
The only thing more mediocre than this match was the curry I put together tonight. I have reviewed the recipe accordingly. These best part of today? I cracked open a surprisingly nice bottle of red, the downside, it lasted 45 mins. Miffed.
