That IS nice. Does anyone think we'd move after all the money spent redevelloping the stadium over recent years? I can't see it.
There is talk about buying the feild at Leggatts and I was talking to a mate the other day who said that it is possible and apparently there are plans to cope with the traffic and parking issues that would arise.
Here is a map of the feild http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=511000&Y=199000&width=700&height=400&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=pc&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&keepicon=true&zm=0&scale=25000&multimap.x=259&multimap.y=151
and here is an arieal veiw of it. http://www.multimap.com/map/photo.cgi?client=public&X=510250&Y=199250&scale=5000&width=700&height=400&gride=&gridn=&lang=&db=pc&coordsys=gb
Got it from one of the surrounding roads: INSTALLATION OF POLYTUNNEL GREENHOUSE ON PLOT 50 OF CHERRY TREE ALLOTMENTS FOR DISABLED USE ;D
Give the kids something to do, they destroyed the rest of the town and theres nothing to do in brighton hey!! (Unless your gay of course)
Seems to be the way of it at the moment, I was in Cornwall over the summer and on my way up the M5 coming back I saw the shell of Exeters new ground, that looks like it will be a very nice stadium also.
I watched Exeter at their St James's Park. Playing Mansfield or Macclesfield or something begining with M. Was quite possibly the worst footy match ever experienced. Still had a nice perch on the terrace - happy days. Their keeper kept kicking the ball out of the stadium onto the railway tracks, got a bit silly after 9 balls. Not sure what the're gonna do with a spanky new stadium. Could host the local farmers market I 'spose. ;D
Lots of league 1/2 teams are getting new stadiums in the coming seasons here is a look at shrewsburys plans for thier new one due to be opened at the start of next season:
Oooo like that one as well. These computer simulations look realy good. Aw I miss one man and his dog
I like the idea of the carpark being so close... nothing worse than having to do that walk around from the stadium after the game exp after a cold wet winters night when we lose!!!! lol
It does suprise me how brighton have less supporters than watford... watford is one town, brighton is two!!! brighton and hove... seems people outside watford know quality when they see it!!! lol
Brighton is actually a city now, not just a town, makes there lack of support even worse! A lot of brightons support has fallen away due to their lack of a stadium, youngsters aren't being introduced to football as they used to be because of the Withdean being a rubbish stadium with a really small capacity I know a number of Brighton fans who had a season ticket holders at the goldstone ground that rarely go any more. I think also Brighton has a very high population of students (there's two uni's here), and more students stay in Brighton after graduating than in most University towns or cities. Therefore a large proportion of the population already support a different team when they move here.
