Imagine if Sarr does his ACL in or something similar in the next 2 games.

Imagine if you get hit by a bus going out to get some milk. You're as likely to get an ACL in training as a match. Got to really scrape the barrel for negative idiom dont you. Hive live camera crew will be losing thier jobs now so its bad, really bad to be a watford fan right now.

I won't watch, who cares, we're promoted. I may tune back in v Swansea if Norwich **** it up completely.

Hope Brentford enjoy their big day out vs a Premier League team.

Jackie Graham was Brentford captain in 1978? Assume this was before her hit with David Grant, "Could it be I'm falling in love"

In a way, that’s why I think it would almost be funnier/better to field a still half pissed joke side just to then read that reaction afterwards.

You've jinxed it now, there is a bus out there with Sarr's name on it

I am not sure if we should just relax and play the youngsters etc. or really go for the title while it is still a possibility. Actually I've just decided it has to be go for the title for me and show Brentford and Swansea we are boss along the way

Wouldn’t mind one more win actually, as when I did the predictor thing back on March 14th I had us finishing on 91 points.... full discourse though, I had us losing out to Brentford on goal difference, so I seriously misjudged their ability!

I hope we give 100% but give a few fringe players a run out e.g. Willmot, Success, etc as well as not risking anyone with injuries e.g. Kiko.
May also give Sarr a rest and play for 45 mins only

Indeed. In 1986 she asked Brentford to "set me free" and ended up "breaking away" just to be with David.

Allder, Bolton and Pritchett ? Would have been 4 if Sherwood had played instead of Rankin.

Correct on all three! Alder played one forgettable game for us, which I think I missed so my knowledge of him as a Watford Player is miniscule!

Half a game per Wiki. He was subbed at half-time !

They could still draw, and if they lose at Barnsley and we win our last two games it comes down to goal difference.

It’s a remote chance, but it’s still a chance. I mentioned Newcastle winning the title when they were four points behind Brighton with two games to go (and they would’ve still won if they had been five points behind). It was thanks to Brighton losing at home to relegation-threatened Bristol City and only drawing at a mid-table ten man Villa side who had nothing to play for, and Norwich have far tougher fixtures left.

I remember it so it's not that forgettable. H ran up and down the left wing and only touched the ball a couple of times. It was like playing with ten men.
Coincidentally our penultimate game that season was a 1-1 draw with Brentford who were promoted with us and Swansea. The other promoted team was Southend. Look where they are now.

First round on the way to beating ManUre at OT & a semi against Florist, when they were VERY good, on their way to their first European Cup win, in the days when you only played teams who had won their domestic league. In the days when we were portrayed as "plucky, innovative Watford" before we had the temerity to tackle Hoddle & finish 2nd in the country. That night in Manchester was absolutely epic.

I think no one is thinking about it because a) The real prize here is that we are promoted to the premier league and that's achieved. b) Its very unlikely to happen, we all know it will be over by about half time when Norwich have an unassailable lead and we aren't winning c)I know it's an honour and a title to win the second division but does it matter that much?

Whether it matters that much, is down to how you feel about it. I know how gutted I felt when we threw it away against Wednesday 5 years ago. It's an outside bet for sure, but it's almost forgotten about being a possibility. What else have we got to play for now? It adds a bit more interest to the season. If it fizzles out by half time, as you say, then so be it, but it shouldn't be a forgotten thing at this stage.

When we won on Saturday I was of course delighted but within 5 mins I was a bit meh about it because I wasn't at the game. It also means that if we won the league I would of course be very happy about it but equally I can't say I'm actually that bothered by it. The main aim has been completed.
Having said that I do feel we should go full strength just in case Norwich slip up

But then I have to have hope HB1. I suppose it is a personal thing as to how you feel. For me Wembley, relegation and covid have been exhausting. Im happy with where we are now.

I get that people want to win the title, but in reality it’s meaningless. Promotion is 99% of the prize at stake which has been achieved already. I respect whatever Munoz/the team decide to do from here, if they still play full strength and full capacity with a view to winning the league, good for them. If we start Lazaar and up front and Gray in goal and the players are still visibly drunk, then equally good for them.

Whilst the title is a mathematical possibility even if it's an improbability we play the strongest team possible and put 100% effort in.

If there was nothing at stake, we play the strongest team and put 100% effort in.

But the B team in and see what they can do. No point in risking an injury to anyone. We won’t catch Nawich.

You're probably right, but it would still be the biggest prize we've won in our history.

As long as Norwich haven’t mathematically won it, Munoz will play the strongest team he can. I would like to see Ngakia (if fit), Wilmot and Hungbo get minutes. If Norwich win on Saturday then I want full rotation against Swansea.

What, like a total 360 right back to fielding our strongest team?
