Marco is amazing.... Watford played very well.. From Portugal, congrats and you can expect a good season
Excellent win! Capoue will be in Silva's good books now. Good to see Richarlison score and play well.
Told you. The Bornmuff bubble has burst. Couldn't happen to a better club. Fantastic performance, utterly dominant. Deliriously happy.
Missed the game because of a famine on Kodi, but saw the last goal and the final few minutes. Commentators said Gray did well, though SB said he was poor. We have so much to be positive about Pereyra and Deeney not featuring, more players to come in, before end of window and yet we still look strong and have depth. Silva has done everything so far to prove he's the opposite of Wally. What was the song the fans were singing for the last 10 minutes?
Bloody good performance overall. We were comfortable from start to finish. A few thoughts: - Gray was pretty crap for the most part, although he did assist the first. Dead weight for most of the rest of the game though. Hopefully more to come. - Amrabat needs to be replaced. He's probably the slowest player in the team now and he's playing on the wing. Why he became a winger is beyond me - he'd have been a pretty good combative central midfielder. - Rich is immense - MOTM today for sure. Outrageous skill, close control to die for, chases down balls, defensive work....we're going to sell him for a ludicrous money in a couple of years - Probably our first 50 million sale. He's this good 2 games in; I can't imagine what he'll be like in 20+ games/second season. I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to see him and Pereyra on the pitch together in full stride... - Doucoure incredible again. Another one who'll go to a big club for stupid money. Unless I'm mistaken, he got his own new chant at the end? - Capoue's goal was excellent, as was his commitment. If Silva can get him to keep his finger pulled out he'll be a real asset for us. - Gomes was very solid today - dominated his area and made some good, brave punches. - Chalobah was good but got thrown off by Arter cheating by calling for the ball when he was about to take a shot and never seemed to get over it. He was visibly frustrated after that. - Yes, Arter shouting "leave it" was cheating. It's a yellow card for unsporting behavior if you shout anything with the intent of distracting the opposition.
Should have been 3 or 4, and Muff were lucky to have had eleven men on the pitch after 50 or so minutes. I'm loving this season already, after the absolute dogsh*t served up last term.
I think that was probably the classiest performance I've seen from a Watford side since we came up. Quality all over the pitch. Silva's first ever away win in England too. Outstanding.
Wow, just wow!!! That was a breath of fresh air, especially after the dross we witnessed throughout last year. In my opinion, that was our most complete performance in the premier league so far. That had it all, the passing, the passion, the movement, the pace, the skill from Richarlson (how the f is he playing for us?). The best thing about it all is that you can see that Silva has firmly put his imprint on how he wants this team to play and this is only the beginning, unlike the 3-1 against man utd last year where you knew the players just turned up for sky sports. That was the first game in a long time that I genuinely felt my passion come back for this team because it was wavering big time over the last 18 months. Not because we weren't winning though, because the players did not care. On cloud 9 this evening. To the pub!
Fantastic result and performance. We absolutely dominated the entire game - I can't remember the last time we did that. Kudos to our fans too; singing and loud for the whole match.
Watched the whole game via a live stream on my laptop. We looked good and deserved the win. New boys Femima, Chalobah & Richarlison played well, especially the latter, whom looks like he could be a real talent. Hopefully he doesn't fade away like Success seems like he might be. Tough game for Gray in my opinion, though he worked hard throughout. It will be interesting to see what happens this season with three seemingly good strikers at Silva's disposal. I thought our subs bench looked really strong on paper today, especially if you were to compare it against the last two seasons - or every season I've been a Watford fan for that matter! (I'm only 22 oldies) So far so good. Fingers crossed for a stress free season, though we all know that's wishful thinking as a Watford fan. In Silva I trust - for now.
Defenders always do that - used to happen to me almost every game - he should keep his concentration. It won't happen to him again.
A lot to look forward to in the season ahead, based on the reports on this game and the first game. Bring it on.
10% of our way to 40 points already. I have a sneaky feeling that's gonna be irrelevant this season though.
Say's something for us when Ake was in my opinion MOM yet his team were 2nd best all over the park. Richarlison is pretty good too but he still needs to learn that 'nobody gets cramp at this club'
I'm pretty sure Muff will go down this year. They've looked pretty awful in their first two games, and neither WBA nor us are world beaters. Maybe we can snag Ake on the cheap when they sink into the Champ.
A class above the rest of their shoddy side, but I thought Rich Allison was MOM with Doucoure not far behind
Well played indeed! My customised Brazil flag, resplendent with cheese and onion packet in the middle,is flying high in WGC now! I'm off to eat my body weight in crisps in celebration. Merson is still an enormous sap but well done for admitting his error on SS. Happy weekend everyone I may pop into the Bournemouth forum to see what's up. After:we're all truly sorry about your baby but really man, that's spineless. Chump.
Wow that is a nice feeling I haven't felt for a few months! A top quality win, and against Bournemouth. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but who couldn't be optimistic at the moment?!
