Not sure why some seem to think Deeney's on his way out. He's only been back in training a week and hasn't had a pre-season, clearly being eased back into it.
I am not,nor have I ever been or am I ever going to be a Leicester fan,as well you know Ub! I have, however, just put the hedgehog and fox food out. Just turned over from the tennis to see Jurado lose the ball, sit on his bottom and appeal for a free kick whilst the game passed him by! Good to know some things remain the same!
The press conference I saw Eddie mumbled through gritted teeth at the end that Watford deserved the win (I think that's what he said ) If so, fair dos to him.
As I said to my brother at the end of the match. The best thing was that compared to last year we now have a team with personality. I thought that all the players worked hard and we looked solid. Amrabat was the weakest of the outfield players, that shot that went for a throw in! I thought Bournemouth looked worse after their substitutions. Who ever shouted leave it to Chalbolah, it had the effect of spurring him on. First time I have seen us win at Bournemouth, parking for £1. Enjoyed the new versions of old chants. Even the journey back was pleasant once we got to Ringwood. Alround a quite splendid day
Really happy with that result!! Also pleasing to see the manager trust his new signings including young players, and his faith in Richarlison paying off today.
Maybe in the first half, but not the second. Gray running the channels opened the game up and was instrumental in both goals.
I forgot to say I thought it was a nice touch all the players wearing black armbands for Bruce Forsyth
I was unable to attend the match today despite it being the closest one to my UK home due to my Mum finally losing her long fight against cancer yesterday. But in the midst of our family sorrow, our beloved football team gave us something to smile about!! What a terrific win, Silva's first away from home in England, and our earliest victory in any of our five PL seasons. It seems hard to believe that less a fortnight ago we were worrying about our forward positions, and then in 36 hours came Richarlison and Gray to transform our attacking options. That last week we were worrying about our kamikaze defending, yet today kept a clean sheet on the road. Very early days but so far you get the feeling we are in good hands and Silva looks as good as we hoped. Football really can be a tonic in life if it goes well, and today it certainly did and it was!! Thank you team for bringing me some happiness this weekend.
Sorry to hear about your Mum, Malteser. I'm glad Marco and the boys were able to bring you some joy today!
Indeed. Awful news Malt. Glad that you were able to find a bright spot at a difficult time. All the best.
Sorry for your loss Malt, thoughts with you and your family. Glad the team have brought you some happiness.
Sorry for your loss mate. At least the team gave you something to smile about this weekend. Take care of yourself mate
I can't think of anything original to say, Malts. The previous posts havc said it all. Best wishes to you and your family.
As per the above posts, Malt. (and how on earth did MOTD manage to make Bournemouth look like they had more chances???)
Sorry to hear of your loss Malts. Glad the boys done you proud today. Can't believe they didn't show this on motd. https://mobile.twitter.com/trimilgrau_ffc/status/898987224162861057
A front 4 of Richarlison , Pereyra, Carrillo and Gray is frightening amount of pace , power and skill. Femenia and Gibbs overlapping with Doucoure and Chalobah providing the double piston driving the midfield . I'm salivating like a ravenous dog in a sausage factory weekend lock in.
Malteser - I hope you and those you hold dear find solace wherever it may be hiding. Best wishes to a stranger, from a stranger.
Think they literally showed all 6 of their chances and just our goals. Standard propagandist ******** editing technique used by many high end broadcasting organisations as KCNA, CCTV, FOX news, William Joyce etc. Quality broadcasting for the people paid for by the people. At least they showed Arter being a cheating ***** even if they made light of it.
I think we'd see the best of Deeney in A Silva team. The way we are playing, he would thrive. Okaka and Gray are also good options. We just need Carillo, faster, ball playing centre back alongside Prodl and competition for Gomes, but even without any of those three, we've got enough to be 12th or higher
Sorry for your loss Malt. You're well loved on here and I'm sure even more so IRL so I'm sure you've got all the support you deserve, but thoughts are with you xx
