BOUAZZA HOPING TO SHINE IN THE CUP

HAMEUR Bouazza is looking to finish his week on a high after receiving a call up for the Algerian squad earlier in the week.

The 22-year-old has been called up to the Algerian squad after making his debut against Libya last month.

Not that Bouazza is thinking about anything more than the Quarter Final Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle on Sunday.

He said: "It will be a big test for us but our mind is set on winning the game and going through to the next round.

"I watched the FA Cup as a child back home and it is a competition that everyone knows and talks about so it's a great honour to play in it.

"We want to be in the semi finals and hopefully that will allow us to crack on with our league form."

Bouazza picked up a shoulder injury over the festive period which kept him out for a few weeks but he has since regained his place in Aidy Boothroyd's starting line-up.

The Premiership is a league that he described as "the best in world" and he produced a typically powerful performance against Charlton last weekend.

Bouazza added: "Now I'm back I'm just trying to help the team.

"I managed to score last weekend which I was very pleased with but ultimately we were disappointed to draw."

Although he's firmly focused on the FA Cup Bouazza was naturally delighted with his call-up.

"It's a good thing to be called up for your country.

"It will be a big game because we need to qualify for the African Nations Cup so we really need to win that game."

"But at the moment I'm just looking towards Sunday's game and getting the right result for Watford."
