Stockport Manager Jim Gannon wants to extend the loan of Big Dom till the end of the season. Apparently Dom's done quite well. Seems he's doing what he did for us when he was just peaking. A strong defensive mid who doesn't give away the balls he wins - who wouldn't want one of them? I hope Aidy let's him stay for a while longer but brings him back to assess him before deciding to keep or sell. But good for Dom he's finally having some success even if it is league 2.
Not a great player, however a hard working player. I dont think he is capable of prem/championship quality, however is thriving at stockport. Good luck to him
If he continues to do well at Stockport he can come back and fight for a place. That is the way it goes.
You would be surprised at how much Aidy likes Dom, both on the pitch and off it. I hope he continues to do well there, gets back to a level of fitness, has a full uninterrupted pre season and then goes on to challenge as a strong squad player next season.
I think that the loans sytem is great both for bringing in and farming out players. Just a couple of examples. Fozzy coming in an being one of the best keepers in the country. Bozozer going away and coming back a much more finished example. Wasn't the King on a loan with first option deal as well? If Dom can come back as improved as the MC was then we're laughing. If he doesn't then no loss and if soem of his wages are being paid then it's a net gain.
Dom never seems to get much credit,but he is a nuisance to the opposition,he was playing quite well in the CCC for us,and even with that virus.He is a good player and breaks up alot of attacks. Stockports last 2 games Dom has been MOTM.He is improving and hopefully is recovering well.
