Apparently has a choice between us and Cardiff Watched by Watford a few times last season, wonder how Cardiff became aware of him? ....:dismay:
"By all accounts Watford will have a scout on Sundays game against Haugesund along with a few others.. He was watched by Watford a number of times last season and thats when they should of made there move. Now the bigger clubs are sniffing I fear we may of missed on one of the most exciting players i've seen in a while..."
New Heidar? By the sounds of it if we sign him it may be a major coup. Anyone know how the young Norweigan lad is getting on we signed earlier in the season?
Ah I see. Well Ringheim is in our Academy now. They (Reading) do have a history with Icelandic players bigger than our own, Heidar ,Gudmundsson. Hopefully regular first team football will attract him and we could get some of these : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=[yt]NHpAYlas7lA[/yt]
Some of those celebrations are amazing. If they are as dedicated in training as they are to their celebrations then hopefully we could have another 'give it everything i've got' kind of player like h was
hate to put the dampers on this but reading, everton, fulham and cardiff are all going in for him. methinks we won't get him
Depends what he is looking for, really. If he wants first team football for development, Cardiff and/or us are better options.
Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson is Eidur Gudjohnsen with pace, described by Eidur himself. Is the most natural gifted player to come out of Iceland, since the vikings set sail from Norway. He is being looked at by some big clubs and I mean some big clubs. It would be a real coup for Watford to sign him and that is still a possibility. PS. This is my first post on this forum. I was a member of the old official board (with the same username) but got transferred to Fulhams messageboard when HH left Anyway always enjoyed the batter with Watford supporters.
The problem is I don't think we will be able to afford him if there is truth in £3.5million quoted. Would absolutely love to sign the kid. Welcome back MadHeidar.
He scored a hat-trick last night in the league and now has 8 goals in his last 4 games in league and the cup. Great talent.
He sounds an absolutely cracking player and knows where the net is by the sounds of it. Hopefully we go in for him.
Actually, his finishing has been his only drawback until now. A English scout who operates in the Scandinavian market told Icelandic media last year that a player like Sigurdarson only comes once in a blue moon. By that he means he doesnt play with Scandinavian charecteristics. He said he combines speed with mesmerising skills and technique and footballing intelligence. He said if he improved his finishing he would look out of place at the top top clubs. And now it seems he has broken the spell and is now scoring for fun. Next stop Watford - hopefully.
Hey are you the MadHeidar that used to post in the past? Only got 6 posts. Welcome back mate, if you are......or welcome to the boards if you're not.
