Given the choice to sign one player for Watford that would be in our budget and sarlary range. Who would it be?
realistically i would like a hold up/ strong player to go with Priskin maybe Mellor or Siberski (bit old). Simeon Jackson as a fast young player as i think he is going to be a good player in the future ( might cost a bit but wages wouldn't be to huge!)
I would have gone for Michael Jackson but I understand his in the childrens hospital having a stroke.
Rasiak. Now before people say too much, Saints have now struggled to pay players for another month, have sold McGoldrick for under a million today and set to loose their best player Surman for peanuts. I honestly reckon we could get him for about the same money as we will get for Theo Robinson and so need to find his wages from somewhere (Will be on about 7.5K) assuming he is still willing to drop 25% in wages.
I think Jamie Cureton could still do a job. At Norwich and would surely welcome the chance to play in the Championship.Don't know what his wages would be, but doubt its that high.
Webber on a free transfer is surely the best signing currently? If we have to sell DeMerit or Willo2, Per Verner Ronning from Bodo/Glimt would be an amazing signing. Would be available for about £500k.
craig mackail smith, is a watford fan but valued at about 2.5m i think by peterborough, so way outta our price range.
Glenn Moss Nz international keeper, would cost hardly anything and he is a brilliant GK otherwise i would have to go with Rasiak
I would have said Nick Bailey from Charlton but we have far too many midfielders as it is. IMO we need to address our wide positions first. I don't know what decent widemen are realistic but one for either flank.
Ok, well I reckon we could now get him for nothing due to their financial status. There is also a rule that players can give notice of termination of contract if they are not paid for a certain period of time, now 2 months at Saints. I think it may be 3 and then players can leave for nothing. Therefore, say we pay him 9k per week, that is what, about 470k in wages? We would have/willing to pay that anyway and should have the 250k 'bonus' for Theo to combat this as well. With him in the side, we will not get relegated I can assure you.
