Best Day out This Season

For me between wigan, charlton, city and newcastle

 

I enjoyed the draw at Fulham, although I would have liked a win much much more.

 

Newcastle buy far, great city, great pubs, great ground and a great night to go with it

 

I liked everton, just because it was the first game! Great atmosphere.

 

Newcastle away was great. Got up there and met a few fellow MB'ers in the Union Rooms, walked up to the Ground, outsung the Geordies and then went out on the town with a mate at Newcastle Uni. Great day!

 

Newcastle, hands down.

 

Newcastle because we stayed over.

 

Agreed, also pompey was an absolute sh!t day and bolton as i had to get the coach, watch us get robbed and had my bike nicked from town!

City for me, top notch and got a point in the soaking rain. Great stadium and a decent performance. Lee played a blinder and everyone tried even "Smith".

Just a note on the Villa food. Top notch Chips, Curry sauce and a sausage for £2.80. The Emirates £5 for a coke and a dog in a bun (No onions) outrageous.

Good banter in the Villa social club before sat match. Always like Villa and the supporters. However City shaded it.

 

Voted Bolton for this one, that train journey was bloody hilarious!!!

However i don't think i have had a bad away game so far, all been good.

 

i voted for newcastle great day out there has been other great away days this season like wigan and bolton but newcastle beats them 2 so far

 

Good thread this! Doesn't suprise me that Newcastle has 50% of the votes!

Newcastle was a great day (minus the result)! A good sing in the pub (union rooms) and then the atmosphere in the ground from the away end was electric from the first minute to the last!

Man City is also up there in terms of atmosphere!

Pompey was ok for me because it was local and had a few drinks in the walkabout in Southsea before the match with the South Coast lads!

Charlton aswell was memorable but for all the wrong reasons! I'm sure more regular users of this MB know all about Charlton anyway

This is a hard one, charlton was an excellant night out after, newcastle too was good, cude was funny on the train and I got to speak to gav again!!!
So newcastle just wins it I think!

 

I chose Man. City, as the atmosohere was great and after getting a good draw from them I was on a high for the rest of week!

 

Have enjoyed every away game this season, all have been good, except Wigan when I got a excess fine on the train on the way up...but thats a different story.

Enjoyed Villa on Saturday, the most I think

 

Had to be Bolton, train up their was a bit boring, but the return was funny as, esp with the Northampton fans and that random Chris bloke

 

Boreham Wood.

Seeing Henderson score - now that is something to tell your grandchildren.

 

Horesens - a convincing away win and only one glory hunter and I won't name her.

Ye do one at the end of season, united might not be that great for me though going up on coach, can't drink as couldnt take any to school but still get to miss couple of hours off school and had to do the same for city and it was still a decent evening out

 

Only been to Everton and Flam, so voted for Flam based on the fact I saw us get a point. Plus I went out in town before and after the match. Everton was good too though. Hope Blackburn and Sheffield Utd are even better in April!

 

i do think the united will be good not sure the result will go are way but you just never know but i do think before the game and after the game will be class for those who are staying over
