Only Fools and Horses wasn't a success when it started. The humour was a bit too close to home for people to be comfortable with. There was too much unemployment at the time for it to be laughed at. It's only years later when everyone is much better off and better educated and enjoying improved lifestyles that it has become a legend. It wasn't one at the time.

 

The Professionals is a product of the 70s too.


The 70s were much better than the 80s when you were all watching reruns.
