After that terrible match yesterday I'm hoping Sunday will be a new day. The Sunday league team Comets, that I'm involved with (the one my son plays for but he is still in USA), has the equivilant of a Charity Sheild match this morning. Our first season in senior football and we won the league cup. This morning we play the winners of the premiership league, so we are not exactly favourites. So if any of you live local and dont have anything to do this nice sunny morning the match kicks off at 10.30 at Leverstock Green Football club in Hemel. If not perhaps see some of you in Southend.
No it's his wife. Do you know Dan? If so who are you?? I'll pass a message on to him. He's on the computer a lot but not on these message boards. Anyway we had a really good match as as a second division team playing the top team in the premiership we won 4 - 1. At least we were on the winning side and the match was entertaining, unlike yesterday.
Hi Charlie. How are you doing? Do you play any more. Comets is going from strength to strength at the moment. Have got a reserve senior team this season as well.
im good thanks playing for Evergreen Reserves this year, have turned out in a couple of friendlies for the 1st Team i was coaching with Shane Woods last week he was talking about the Final...well done
Sort of. I worked with them last week for a bit of work experience but ive got enough experience already ive been coaching for 5 years! so unpaid work is not for me. I'm working for Ross & Andys aswell but it's just been a bit quiet this summer it'll pick up again when school starts
I'm into coaching as well Starting right at the bottom and working my way up. Everett under 7's all the way!
Good man how much have you done? It's difficult to start with, there's a lot of "get the balls, get the cones" work but people appreciate it and you'll gradually be eased in...maybe doing the odd warm up for example and it will steadily get more and more and that's when it's worth it
Started last season, but this season is my first full one, and finally my team is eligible to play games It is worth it, very satisfying educating people into football, and they could potentially have a future in football.
Yea your spot on there, theres nothing better than realising you have a kid that go places We had a kid that is now at MK Dons n its gud to think you may have had a part in it lol
