From now until the end of this season which player would give the Hornets the best chance of survival, a fully fit Robbie Savage or Al Bangura.
i like al much more but the only reason i voted for savage is because bangura loves to just limp it high in the air to no one, normally over his own head.
Al bangura, although a legend, a tenacous and agressive player, has not got as good a football skills as savage. I agree, savage is a right tw*t, but theres no denying he is agressive (like bangura) but has better distribution and better creativity. In the long run, bangura is going to be a quality player, i think he is terrific. Savage is an utter tw*t and i hate him, however tequnically he is the better player. Id rather have savage if we are talking about just keeping us up. If not, bangura wins hands down.
agree with albang9. bangura will be quality in a season or 2 but at the mo savage would be very very nice player to have (minus the injury)
There is a popular misconception that Savage is a dirty player when in fact he doesn't commit that many fouls and has only been red carded once. What he is in totally committed and his 'In Your Face' attitude winds up oppostion players, managers and fans alike (as well as the odd Ref). Al Bang has shown he has got alot of promise allthough IMO his distribution is fairly poor. What he does have is a similar level of commitment as Savage but he needs to control his enthusiasm. He has mistimed quite a few challenges, but this aspect of his game will improve with experience. When I said he was a walking yellow card, I was actually quoting the guy that sits next to me in the Lower R. Marks out of ten : Savage 8 Al Bang 6 IMO Adey needs a bit of experience on board to pull this particular Rabbit out of the hat and the 1st position I would be looking to strengthen would be Centre Half.
What is Savage's pedigree exactly, the fact he is a former international who has played top flight football for a number of years. And what you are actually saying is that you will not vote for him, even though you realise he is a better player, just on the basis of the fact that you do not like him. Well I don't like him either, but I am still prepared to give credit where it is due.
i think savage is a great player. seeing he started out as a striker at man utd and was meant to be a bit of a tackle shy youth, he has certainly changed. i actually think he is a decent ball player, something Al certainly needs to improve upon if he wants to become a first team regular in years to come
As much as people hate robbie savage, I really respect the guy. He has a great work ethic, makes it hard for teams to play and gets right in there faces. Not a bad footballer either.
I hate him and hope his leg doesn't heal. He has deliberately got so many people sent off in the past and represents everything that is wrong in football. I would hate to have him in my team under any circumstances and cannot even bring myself to discuss it theoretically. This poll is a nonsense and I am now off to vomit.
