vital watford has a rumour about an american forward .... mark bridge or something, dont know if you guys are interested.. he looks liek he had an okay goal record
Your criminals...to be sure. And mostly Irish, seemingly? ...but the American colonies weren't simply trying to avoid the taxes...I honestly think the colonies would have been OK with the taxes had they been given some say in how the money was used. Good thing you didn't! I like our constitutional democracy (when it works, unlike in 2000).
There are only about two American forwards out there worth anything. Taylor Twellman (who Preston tried to get but were rebuffed) and Jose Altidore (US U21). Twellman is arguably no better than what we already have - and his club's not selling. Altidore is a young gun ( barely 18 ) and would be quality, but: a) I don't know that we really need another forward and b) My guess is that when he signs in Europe it won't be in England, but more likely somewhere where the football is less physical (although from what I saw of him his he's got size). U21 Americans don't seem to come to England first. They sharpen their game elsewhere then come here. Therefore I must conclude that the rumour is b*llocks.
Don't own a copy, never have, never will. I do, however watch about 47 football channels. I also occasionally read. If I was a Footie Manager person I'd have posted something along the lines of "Don't you think we could get the Yank striker Altidore for about XXX? I'd say he's worth a punt...."
Twellman sucks for the USMNT, he would fit right in for the PNE'ers. Altidore is all promise, but he really makes me excited. US forwards tend to be scrappers and not very creative, but Jozy Altidore is the exception.
