It Was Soooo Loud I Dropped My Pin. 2 Songs Inside 45 Mins Well Done To All Concerned, Today Put Us On The Map, As A Place Where Away Teams Fear To Go. Blows The Watford Have Good And Loud Fans Right Out Of The Water....
Our home support had been getting a lot better recently though. Also, it's hardly as if there was anything to shout about today either. There are still loads of clubs in the Prem with far worse home support.
It was awful today and it has been better of late. Shame when there was so much to take the pee out of - them geting stuffed by Arsenal x2, Rafa's selections and big fat belly, Craig Bellamy for being alive etc - that we could only raise our voices for a few spiteful, stereotypical, outdated 10 years ago anti-Liverpool chants at the end. Pathetic.
Pi$$ poor and people are surprised? Some of them sit next to scousers, do or say nothing till safely at home and then let rip on a message board, jokers.
Tbf, from what I saw on the telly-bizzle today the scousers, the football and the result was **** from a Watford perspective. It's hard to get going at times like this.
Ohh look Arthur slating the home support as per. It wasn't good but to be quite honest what did people expect, we all knew what was on the cards from the moment they went 1-0 up. We were performing badly and that isn't going to get thigns going. Liverpool fans were pretty dire which didn't help apart from when they piped up about something i presume to do with Hillsborough (yawn). We were always going to have games like this in the prem and the atmosphere to suit, get over it.
Ever think the early kick off didn't help? People recovering from hangovers, and not enough time to get more beer down ya.
tbh it was rubbish yesterday - even my Dad was amazed at how quiet we were, there are always going to be games like that, oh well I'm sure next week at Villa we will be back to our best.
To be fair... if i had been at the game i very much doubt i would have made a sound... the way the team played yesterday they didnt deserve the support. In the early part of the game it seemed that the support was there but by mid way through the first half it died down, and after the third goal went in in the second half the fans had seen enough. I for one was sitting here watching a stream and the most interesting thing i saw was an advert at half time for malaysian KFC's chicken and mushroom soup!!!
so we are only going to make a great atmosphere when the team lift us. I thought and have always understood -it is the true fans who sing and give the players a lift when required. Obviously far to many gloryhunting morons in the ground yesterday. I'm with hotcrossbums on this
My own favourite part of the afternoon was when loads of people started leaving with nearly 20 minutes left - although I guess what can you expect from gloryhunters eh?? It's a bit hard when you are the only one singing - even my mouth isn't big enough to keep it up for 90 mins
