Well I guess Everton would probably offer more in wages and he wouldn't have to move, but would he rather show sentiment and come home.

He's absolutely made for a wing back, and can actually deliver a great ball/ set piece, which we are desperately lacking.

He lives locally still so is actually say that this isn't too unlikely, unless Spurs/ West Ham want him and offer lots of cash.

Everton's squad are old as it is, so they may be looking for u30s. We could do with his prem experience. I would love to see it come to pass. But a a certain Mr Jagget once said "you can't always get what you want"

Nordin Ambrabat. Your real question should have been 'name the players we have in the middle who are capable of getting onto the end of them?'

Pundits have started changing there minds about Amrabat being wasteful; expecting some of his critics on here to follow the lead soon...

 

If you read my posts you'll see I'm a strong advocate of Amrabat. An advrobat? An Amracate?

 

It's a question of priorities

Amrobat is a bit meh and Success is unproven but wide players aren't the pressing problem. Our defence is frail, our DM goes missing, and aliens kidnapped our strikers and replaced them with a wheelie bin, a bale of hay, and a broken lawnmower

 

Ashley Young would be a great and versatile signing for us. He could play as a wing back, a second striker or a wide player in a front three.

Additionally, we'd actually have someone capable of taking a set piece. Quite how we ended up without a single player who can take a decent corner or direct free kick is beyond me. Capoue's delivery is terrible and Holebas' isn't much better. Young can also cross the ball without having to beat a player, he can whip a cross around the defender, something that no-one else in our squad can do at the moment

 

Janmaat is really the only one.

 

I'm not overly convinced we should have sold him.

 

Another red card on Saturday. He would fit into this team really well.

He is a diver at times but I am more than willing to look past that especially if he wins some penalties for us and helps Troy get his goal tally higher :]]. Everton will probably be favourites for him if they want to sign him as they are a bigger club closer to Manchester but Young may consider a move home.
