Having read several Ashley Young threads over the past few days it started me thinking what value people put on him - ie. what is the trigger value in your mind where you would accept a bid? How highly do you rate Ashley value wise? There seems to be some difference of opinion in the various threads (anywhere from £3m up) so I thought I'd see what people thought. I'm gonna say £6m. Anything around or over that mark and it's a good deal in my book. Much more and I'll drive him to the buying club myself!
Yeah I should just say I understand that there are multiple variations on players who could be included or sell on clauses. Try to work out the general cash value of the whole team and put that in as your vote (as Scalexman has cleverly done)
Before the window I would probably have said £5 mill. With the level of interest around that would be the bare minimum and, with good luck, we would get £7 mill plus. Also bare in mind Ash's wages are not high so compare £7 mill and £20,000 per week with SWP at £10 mill and £50,000-70,000 per week Like you say Rich all of this is virtually impossible to calculate especially if a swap is involved. Add on to this that we will never know the finer details of a transfer.
He's over priced, so lets cash in Before all this speculation, I would have been tempted to let him go for around 4 million, but now it has to be at least 8 million IMHO
Ahhhhhhh, perv. At one company I worked at our expenses had to be completed on a perv - personal expense reimbursement voucher. Was always amusing every month when the boss asked " have you filled in your perv yet?"
£10 milllion plus - he is wotth about 5 i would say. but here is where he is best, he is developing and loves watford and aidy- worth up to 15 million for us in time. in 3 years i'll pull this post up. i reckon he'll have a couple of england appearences by then and we'll be flyng high too.
A new bid, or not Sky sports is saying that Aidy has turned down a £7 million bid for Ash!!!! Is that the Villa one £6.9m, or a new bid?
Wet Spam offered £7m straight cash according to reports. http://www.sportinglife.com/footbal...1/SOCCER_Watford_Nightlead.html&TEAMHD=soccer
