Thought this was interesting, a study in America (yeah I know) claims the rubber pellets on artificial pitches could be linked to a growing number of goalkeepers being diagnosed with lymphoma.

Just saw it on SSN and it's not conclusive but there seems to be a growing trend.

In my day the only issue with artificial pitches was losing 5 layers of skin.

Aside from Cancer there is the issue of lead as many of the pitches use recycled tyres in manufacture. There is NO safe level of lead exposure esp to kids.

When I was told my neighbour had died of natural causes I thought "Oh Christ! I've got natural causes, that's my number up!!"
