Talk about peaking at the right time. Wins against Liverpool and Man Utd, now leading 0-2 at Arsenal.
Wigan won't hold out tonight I don't think, but every year they peak towards the end of the season and just stay up.
It looks a tough ask to hold out for the rest of the game. They could've done with going 2-0 up on 45 mins.
Every minute that goes by, you have a little more hope that Wigan will hold out. I'll be amazed if they do manage it. Fair play though, giving it a real go. Get 3 points here and you'd think they survive by the skin of their teeth for another year.
He learned his craft as a youngster from over the fence at London Colney. He was one of the unfortunate few to spend their early years at the club fetching lost balls during Neil Cox's free kick practice sessions.
Well done Wigan, play great football under Martinez. Have gone from my least favourite Prem side to my favourite this year.
Great performance. These results go a little a way to restoring some of my faith in the top division.
Wenger going straight down the tunnel without shaking Martinez' hand, RVP trying to squeeze Caldwells hand instead of shaking it...classy lot, those gooners!
This wasn't a smash and grab. Wigan fully deserved that..more shots on goal etc. Did Arsenal have a worthwhille effort 2nd half...their attacking play reminded me of ours at times earlier in the season!
I hate Arsenal, bunch of f**king to$$ers. Well done to Wigan, with three wins against Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal, two of which being away from home, they deserve to stay up!
Well played to Wigan, they stuck in there and stopped Arsenal attacking from Moses, Gomez and Di Santo. What an absolutely cracking save from Al Habsi to deny Benayoun. How can a defence that contains Gary Caldwell only concede one goal?
