Is anyone an expert on burning movies onto DVDs (which are watchable on a DVD player)? I currently have some LOST episodes which are .avi files. However, they require the DIVX codec to run... Does anyone know of any FREE software out there that will convert these to files that I can then burn??
Divx will helo you play & rip DVDs however you'll need soemthing else to write the file to a DVD playable on a normal DVD player. I use Nero and I think you can download it for a 30 day trial free. http://www.nero.com/eng/index.html
alot of new players will play divx encoded discs..u can use Matrox Media encoder to encode as something else. I use this along with Premiere Pro 2, but this isnt cheap...I professionally edit stuff as part of my job I also use Nero for burning, superb burning software. Rip it 4 me, is excellent for ripping dvds and free to download.
I burn and sell dvds if your interested just got this is england, spiderman 3, outlaw and a few others in
