anybody knowledgeable about travelling in europe?

which out of the local beer would you recommend if any as i assume it would be cheapest. do you know any good cheap and cheerful places to get some grub as well ?

 

none as its pisswater ,stick with the branded stuff like guiness and carlsberg ,at least you know what your getting , Norways a ****hole and I want to go home!

What's the general life like there? Do you really despise it? My mate from uni has been going out with a Norweigan for 2 years now and is moving there next month for good.

 

I presume Norwayhornet is from Oslo as that would explain why he describes the local brewed beer as 'pisswater' If he came from somewhere near i live he would know of the delights of the Christianssands Bryggeri! Unfortunately Norway is very regionlised when it comes to brews and CB products are not readily avaliable in the capital.
I had some draught beer from the Aass brewery recently.. and it was fine. As the Aass brewery is in Drammen near Oslo i would think its easy to find. I tried the 'Fat øl' which translates as 'draught beer'. I now refer to this beer as 'fat aass'


I cant advise on places to eat.. but i'll ask a couple of people i know who are regular visitors to Oslo and get back to you.

 

PS The local brew in Oslo is called Ringnes.. avoid at all costs! The nickname for it among the ex pat community is 'Ringsting'

 

Harry Hole usually puts down about 100 Krone for a drink when he's in the bar. How much is that in sterling?

 

Roughly £10.50.. He wont get much change from that!

 

Ringnes is garbage ,listen to Stevo , Avoid Tau as well ,stick to guinness or Carlsberg and you will be okay , Dont forget you must get beer from supermarkets before 6pm and wine or spirits from the Vinmonopolet

 

I live in the farming community on the west coast and its heavily racist and bigoted ,oslo is okay though and so is Bergen and up north

 

Very good brewery in Egersund that makes the bottled Rav you see in the supermarkets is called Berentsens

 

So how does Hole afford to be an alcoholic on a policeman's wage? It's completely unbeleivable.
