Literally no reason whatsoever for that last paragraph, but it seems the obsession every pundit has with throwing digs our way, even when they have little no relevance to the subject matter, cannot be missed.
All I can say is 'You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince' ... and that Crooks always looks like he's just swallowed one
Why is it tiresome? In what way does it affect him! It is because they have to do some research on each manager. I am sure most of the media actutally like the "soap opera" of the management changes. Plus Silva speaks English. Having read his other comments he seems bitter about a lot of things! Reads like somebody having a bad day!
Who cares? I don't mind the digs anymore it's a boring default media stance & the words are slowly starting to lose effect. I predict another season in the Prem & we will really start to see the wheels of change & the media perception will switch up because people will start to think views like this shows up the pundit. Question will be if they change the manager so often how comes they are here for a 4th successive season. We have already addressed the 'no English players ' in the squad gripe from a few seasons ago & also the 'they only take loans from Udinese & Granada' thankfully you don't here that nonsense anymore. Everything is under the radar & on the up.
At least we've given Garth Crooks something to write about. Every season he trots out the same thing...."x (insert player name) reminds me of Drogba". He's the Louis Walsh of football pundits. Like many so called experts, (Merson, Lawro etc) he does little research outside of the big clubs but somehow retains a job each season.

Sorry but have to completely disagree. Articles like this are not helping us go under the radar and make Merse look like a plonker at the end of the season. It's only been a couple days and pundits are changing their tune. I'm not having it! Praise like this will only make people realise we are not as bad as the media have made us out to be. Instead of reading comments like "it's only Watford, we should smash them" or "we really should be beating the likes of Watford," I will soon have to see and read people saying "Watford are pretty decent, we shouldn't take them lightly." So I plead to the pundits and media alike, continue to write negative about us, so I can enjoy watching countless meltdowns from opposing fans when we beat them. Stop taking my joy away!
Remind me how many managers have Chelsea had in the last five seasons Is it Five or Six? And in that time i think they won the premier league twice, the League cup and the europa League.
Garth Crooks could talk a glass eye to sleep. I'm amazed that anyone is interested in anything he says. Be thankful that neither him or 'Lawro' made it on to the recently published list of the BBC's top earners. Sickening that Jug Ears and, even more bizarrely, Shearer, did though.
Read the thread title and wondered if anyone had been tipped off that Sietes was buried under Occupation Road.
