I'm stressed out even thinking of being in the playoffs again.

I'm happy to keep Nyom, he should be fine in a back 3 and will be versatile when we switch formations. I also think he won't get stroppy if he only starts from the bench .... He was fantastic for us up until Christmas last season before his flank got specifically targeted as the weak spot but I honestly think the formation change will take care of that.

    Good post...

Last season my expectations were very low. I thought we would survive but only just. Being in the Premiership was exciting and we played some great football up until Xmas

This year my, and I suggest many others, expectations were slightly higher. With the riches I expected us to build a squad that would not be caught in a relegation fight and challenge for mid table mediocrity all year. The glass half full in me says that, in keeping Deeney and Iggy and recent signings, that is what we've built. The glass half empty in me says the squad is not balanced or strong enough and feels we may be going backwards

    time will tell...

May I congratulate the contributors to this thread for the intelligent and well thought out posts with some interesting viewpoints.

I would add to Meh's post about relegation battles, they are exciting...only if you survive - Oxford away when Paul Wilkinson scored the only goal which guaranteed our survival, the outpouring of joy was amazing from fans and players - will never forget that. Compare that to losing to Leicester when GT came back - one of the worst footballing experiences ever. I guess it's like the play final - amazing if you win - sh!t if you lose.

I could, but 3pm on a Saturday is normally a very well timed break to get away from the wife.

We did not pay £12.5m. It was a classic deal.
Dig deeper and you may find we paid £0.00

You should probably be thinking about getting a different wife.

But you'd need a world class scouting network....

To be fair, Deeney cost is 500k so they have found one cheap gem

It's a shame you gave away your season ticket and will miss out on all the excitement.

Yes. Because that is exactly what actually happened.

Never mind. There's always a positive. You'll be able to stay at home and post on the forum some more, rather waste a couple of hours watching the side get relegated. :D

I'll be following my beloved Chelsea instead. Easy game today against relegation candidates.

Wait, you support two teams? That's some bull**** right there, you fake fan you.

Don't be an idiot. I'd never claim to support two teams. That would be purely ****y.
