There are a lot of polar opinions on today's events, just like to see how many people are on each side of the fence.
It's a shame we have lost King, but as it has always been said. Players come and go but the fans are here forever. I am certainly not tearing up my season ticket, and I would exhort the rest of you not to either.
I honestly no longer consider this to be the case. I have never before been uninterested about watching Watford as I am now. I hate the manager, I hate the board, and I also hate many of the ignorant fans who think it is acceptable for our club to show little ambition, despite pretending that they are. Football has changed dramatically in recent years to the point where I can no longer stand the greed that has entered the game from bothe p[layers and clubs alike. A loss this weekend will truly set me on the slippery slope to finding other ways of filling my saturdays.
well when we get promoted, sky and setanta will solve that saturday problem. What will you then do on match days?
Maybe, but will you walk away completely? Forget all the experiences you have had like the playoffs, Mooney's goal at Anfield, losing 5-0 to Fulham on Boxing Day etc? I certainly wouldn't be able to even if I never went to Watford again.
Saying the club has exercised good judgement makes it sound as if they were actively trying to flog King and decided this was the moment, rather than what has actually happened. I think you are trying to lead the respondents and I will not be led.
Overruled. Good judgement just means that their actions, whether proactive or reactive were well thought out and correct.
stoic is me right now. **** happens. get over it. would anything have been better under a different manager or board? no
SPOT ON selling our best player when we are aiming for promotion and didnt need the money , is the opposite to ambition!! you can bet west brom wudn't sell super kev or that sheff utd would sell james beatie!!
i don't think anyone wants to buy super kev or james beattie. it also strikes me as a tad paradoxical that the people who want to get into the shiny shiny premier league are also the same people who dislike modern football culture and business.
I've been thinking that myself as the evening has worn on. It's pretty odd if you ask me. Still, they won't be able to explain it because they won't see it. In fact, til Aidy says it it's not even real.
I'd like an option which has a smidgen of option two comibned with a slightly less extreme version of option 3.
its like trying to reach the pinacle of all you detest, yet taking immense pride in doing so. like shitting in a cup from a great height
King has been far from our best player for 2 months, and he would have kept playing like that, with a god-given right to be first on the teamsheet, dragging us and the morale down until we sold him. We are better off without him.
