Tom Hanks character made friends with a ball. I doubt Andre would be able to keep it under control long enough to make friends with it.
@Manatleisure will be along shortly to tell us Tom Hanks had some great scenes in Cast Away and its certainly not his worst ever film.
Re Tom Hanks, didn't we have Forest Gump playing for us a few years ago. A Priskin from Magyar...run Forest run etc
We have got to stop putting videos of his recent missed goals on social media, otherwise we will never get rid! Another great display last night at Kings Langley.
If Gray is training with the U23s this could be the end of a glittering career where he will have earnt his place in the hall of arse.
Feels to me like he isn’t going anywhere. His personal circumstances mean he’s very unlikely to accept a move anywhere outside of a very small radius. And the ‘realistic’ clubs within that radius can’t afford to pay him what we require them to. Any move requires Gino/Xisco to want him out the door at any cost, even if it means we pick up a very large percentage of his wages. And a club within that radius to still want him. I will be very surprised if the above happens and fully expect he will be here on his mammoth wages for another year yet. This truly has been an awful bit of business, both financially and in terms of scouting.
If we can’t afford to pay £7m for Thorsby, I doubt we will be trying to find the money to pay off Gray with a lump sum. And I very much doubt he would accept anyway. Doesn’t seem to be much in it for him beyond being a free-agent to find a new club - which he could very well struggle to do anyway. Surely far better to, at the very least, stay attached to the club where you are comfortable for another year and pick up your massive wage? Then his personal circumstances may well be in a state where he can uproot. Can’t see it.
He truly is the turd that won't flush. What a catastrophic deal for the club. Worst in our history for sure.
If I were Gray or Success I wouldn't be going anywhere. Collect the money and stay fit. Gray will still attract decent offers from some idiotic club next Summer.
To be an elite sportspersons you need to have total dedication and want to compete and prove yourself at every opportunity. If players are happy to sit on the bench and take the money it is a sign they don't have the mental attitude to reach the very top. The club should have picked up on the mental deficiencies of these players before offering them such long contracts. Now they are literally a waste of money.
Wouldn't shock me if he ended up at Fulham only because they have loads of money and absolutely no sense.
