In an era when most footballers shack up with some goldigging Instaho who jumps ship with half their cash as soon as their career's over, Andre obviously hasn't fallen into that trap and has clearly got himself a good'un. U just need to see the way she looks at him to know how much she loves him. Andre has had a pretty rough ride from some Watford fans but he's always worked hard for the team, scored some vital goals and remained incredibly level headed despite everything that's happened in his life #stayingup

Why do some people wish congratulations to others in the public eye they don't know personally? Nothing against Gray and whoever this Pinnock woman is, but who else cares apart from those they know?

By wishing them congratulations in the third person on a public forum they probably don't read, you're not actually wishing him anything. If you care that much, send a card via the club.

Think about what you posted initially. How do you actually KNOW he's 'got a good'un'? How do you actually KNOW how much she loves him? From 'Hello' magazine, a rag that thrives on unsubstantiated 'sleb' gossip? From a photo? From a social media post? Only they really know and even then it's not certain. She might or might not be a gold digger. Only she really knows that.

As for me, just because I support Watford doesn't mean I'm in the slightest bit interested in the players' personal lives.

Lastly, 'u' is spelt 'y o u'. Nothing personal, just a pet hate! I do wonder what people do with all the time they save by not typing out y and o for one three letter word.

We are supposed to be a family/community club and thats one reason so many ex loanees/players currently return. I just thought it was a nice thing to say. Somewhat (but not altogether) surprised by the cynicism here.

 

The family/community club idea is a legacy from GT's days when it genuinely was like that, but it doesn't really exist now apart from the occasional gesture. You are right, it is a nice thing to say, but maybe the wrong place to say it! What did you expect from a football forum where a fair proportion of the members are miserable old gits and where cynicism and a thick skin are prerequisites?

 

Dare I say it’s irrelevant what he expected? He wanted to say it, so did? We can all take the (light-hearted) p1ss out of it sure. But not sure it’s for anyone to say ‘do not’ post such stuff!
