It all depends on the work rate of the 3 attacking midfielders. A fundamental part of their job is to track back and get 9 / 10 behind the ball. Cleverly will play a lot this year because of this

 

The AM will do a lot to set the tone of the side

There will be games we need Cleverley high energy always on it busy busy busy in that role

Deeney? Just doesn't have the pace for the system. Gray will be first choice imo.

 

Just think how fit and trim Deeney is going to get to have any chance of getting on the end of a cross from those widemen.

Was thinking same. Would likely see Cleverley in that role against better teams and Pereyra moved wide, although Pereyras work rate is not too shabby either.

If we don't have a minute-by-minute account of Carrillo's journey from Lisbon to Gino's London Colney office with pictures attached, then the standards of this forum are slipping. Ideally to be lead by HB1, Dusbero and ITKJim/Kieron.

In all seriousness, following on from RC's post above, I am positive about this signing but that positivity is slightly tempered by this deal having a touch of the Iturbe's about it. Not in the sense that he will end up going to Bournemouth, but more in the sense that he's been built up by some, and he has seemed at stages reluctant to come for whatever reason. Hope he has more about him than Iturbe did in the PL. Thankfulky ITKJim watched him every week 3 years ago so I'm reassured somewhat.

 

Same with Forestieri, it was like they left without a word from any of the fans about whether they could have made it in the Premiershipleague.

 

Seems a bit harsh, but then Silva did say he only wanted English spoken amongst the squad.

 

He has scored two goals so far this season - both just penalties.

 

Slightly off-topic, but an opinion piece in the Sheffield Star a week or so said they should get rid of Forestieri as (1) he's high-maintenance and (2) is the only one of their forwards who could command a big enough fee to buy the competent centre-back they desperately need.

High-maintenance because he's missed the beginning of the season for the second time running. He followed up last season's strike by getting suspended by the club for getting into a fight with a team-mate in training. Must have been some fight.

But for the first time since he left, it's impossible to argue that we need him now - except of course for Carabao Cup matches.

I can't say I know of many Peruvian players, the only one that leaps to mind to have played in England was Nolberto Solano.

 

Just like Deeney last season then. Ideal replacement

It was a bad tackle by Fessi in training and the team mate got up and squared up to him. Queue a bit of handbags.....
Probably happens in training at clubs up and down the country all the time.
I would suspect that Fessi got a little emotional though.

Doubt he'll have international clearance for Saturday. Izquierdo only just got his today. Hopefully he'll be out for Brighton... He's their only pacey option
