For me was outstanding at the weekend & really looks to have come back stronger after he went AWOL. Heard through a friend that works at Bournemouth FC that in the tunnel on Saturday Almunia & Pudil went mental at the Bournemouth players in the tunnel, mainly for the diving & cheating, things got heated, nothing physical all verbal, and that all the WFC players that where in the tunnel acted as one. So sounds like the team spirit is there once again, which is great as earlier in the season I don't think it was. Also earlier this week Almunia arranged for a team meal out in Camden, all attended except 1 of the senior pro's, so fair play to him, he does seem to be doing the captains bit off the field. Just hope his back holds out this weekend, as I fear he could be picking the ball out the back of the net quite a bit !
Before anyone else asks, who didn't go? Then we can speculate they have fallen out rather than being busy.
Hopefully Bondy will be playing as we don't want Almunia injured by keep bending down to pick the ball out of the net.
Wasn't Fabrinni the one who didn't want to come here in the first place and took quite a bit of cajoling before he finally decided decided to come here?
Probably likes having a nap without Deeney shoving a camera in his face and whacking a picture of him asleep on Twitter, #bantz.

It's possible he might get carsick. I've known a couple of people who don't do well in cars/coaches, but are alright on trains.

It's not that. Fabbrini knows that if he falls asleep on the coach, he will be a prime target for the Deeney gang and their sleep cam.
I'm feckin fed up with Almunia. I know Drinkwater's strike was good but I think Almunia should of at least attempted to save it. I think he thought it was going over and left it. His kicking on Saturday was woeful also. We don't need a captain in goal, we're crying out for a real leader on the pitch. Almunia farts about in his area, slowing the game down to an almost stop. When crosses come in he either flaps or punches, when a catch would take the pressure off the defence. He's cost us loads of points this season. He's 5h1te. He's worse than Perry feckin Digweed.he must be DROPPED.
Been one of our better players recently actually. Was terrific against Brighton, his command of the area is very good as well. No keeper would have saved that shot from Drinkwater whether Almunia fully extended himself or not. In short, Almunia is not to blame for our shortcomings in recent times. Against Bolton he might have been and during that sticky spell but he was terrific against Bournemouth and is pretty reliable IMO. Bond will have a crack at being number one in a couple of years time, but is still very raw as seen with the errors v Man City, notably letting the ball under him and chasing a cross that they scored from rather than hold his position, though with that said he is a very good prospect. I do agree though, having a goalkeeper as captain is never a good idea, even if they are the oldest player. Almunia has done an ok job as skipper, but what happens if we are getting torn to shreds?? He can't exactly run to the halfway line barking orders can he?
Easily the best keeper at the club. Bond may or not make it but at the moment Almunia is easily number 1. Yes he punches more than catches but to be fair he gets good distance on the punches. Certainly been consistently very good since we got him. The odd mistake but what keeper doesn't make them
One punch I really remember him messing up was this season against Reading at theirs. It fell to Le Fondre and he buried it, but 9 times out of 10 it isn't going to fall to a striker like that. All goalkeepers make mistakes, Bond's against Man City was just that, a mistake. It happens to many keepers through their career and even at the highest level. Rob Green vs USA.
I would have Almunia in the side over Bond all day long, I can see Bond going the same way as Loach, shows potential but never delivers. Easily the biggest & most avoidable mistake by any of our keeprs this season was Bond's againt City, for which the players stood by him, yet I gather at NFFC after the game he was very vocal towards those that played and he shared with them where who he thought was at fault for which goal, which hasn't endeared himself to some of the other players.
Bond - I think he does quite a lot of confidence (and ego) about him.... Alumina did fine last night - very solid catching.
Cheers, on re-reading, it was clear enough. Thought Manus kicking last night was generally good. He was trying to place everything and was achieving incredible distance without putting in a massive effort. This is a major advantage that he has over Bondy at the moment. It makes their defenders turn and gives us plenty of time to organise rather than have the ball come straight back into our danger area. His kick was also instrumental in our 2nd goal on Saturday.
