Fair play to the previous owner writing off all debt, they are now debt free..

Dean Holdsworth's consortium has got a great deal buying a debt free club for so little, I used to work in Bolton so know the amount of land the club owns around the ground.

For the money paid that is a superb deal for the new consortium.

 

The consortium paid £7.5m to buy Bolton and had to repay nearly £3m to the taxman so hardly debt free. Plus while they've been in administration Trevor Birch has been busy flogging everything, including a training ground and apparently land around their stadium. How much is left?

Most of the Davies debt was an artifical construct anyway. He never intended to enforce it.
