I heard they are planning the Trump Wing, somewhat to the right of the front door.
What songs he wrote.
If raining maybe Julian Colander.
Bellum, Bellum, Bellum, Belli, Bello, Bello.
Bella, Bella, Bella, Bellorum, Bellis, Bellis.
Beyond that, I can't help you.
Have we put our £1m bid in yet
No. I believe we are still debating internally the performance criteria to link to the last £750k of that £1m.
Still linked per L'Equipe
Newcastle now linked with him: https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.c...ogc-nice-drop-asking-price-from-e40m-to-e25m/
Supposedly " manager Patrick Vieira wants rid of the player as soon as possible, falling out spectacularly with “ASM” over his lack of commitment, on-pitch selfishness and missing work-rate towards the end of the last campaign". Hmm.
Would be interesting which does better if we got Sarr and Newcastle got Maximin.
We won't get either.
Indeed, I’m just waiting for the SSN transfer feed to say we have ‘dropped our interest’ in Sarr any moment.
The whole things smells of Rennes trying to drive an auction and Gino won’t get involved considering the costs supposedly already involved.
And from everything I’ve read about this ASM, he seems to have a shocking attitude.
I have discovered that he ripped off the intro from 'Perfect Skin' from the bass riff in 'So What' by Miles Davis.
Cold Sweat - James Brown nicked the brass hook from So What also .
By the Anti-Nowhere League?
I hate people!!!!
I hate your stupid face!
No , the Anti Norway League who were a rebel Svalbard Independence party from the 70s
Genius does steal.
No, Yes didn’t rip it off. Lloyd Cole did. Caused quite a commotion.
Wasn't he a 'Viz' character? 'Lloyd Cole, there's always a commotion in his underpants'.
Oi don't mention the svalbard scum.
Yes. It's the Independent Svalbard Party, not the Svalbard Independance Party. Splitters.
I wonder if the club have any other wide options in mind should Saint-Maximin join Newcastle and the Sarr deal falls through
Ha Ha. Don't worry we have a bigger and better deal in the bag. Good old Gino. NUFC will be overpaying. We didn't really want him.
Anyway there's always 3rd choice Trezeguet.
Look no further than Isaac Success and big Ken Sema.
Will Hughes out wide again?
No wonder Javi was keen to get Pereyra back - but is the player keen to return?
Nope. When we inevitably baulk at the two transfer fees we will go with Sema and Hughes out of position. The likely state of affairs is that Dawson will be our single addition this window. I hope I am proved wrong in the next 2 weeks.
I’m not one of these Twitter types who seem to be going mad at Gino saying he’s incompotent for not buying loads of new players yet. As you say, there is still 2 weeks left. No need to panic yet.
But - deals don’t seem to get made overnight anymore. Most deals that have been made this summer by other clubs seem to have been rumoured strongly before being made. The lack of strong rumours is a bit worrying on our behalf.
I don’t think any of us expected a raft of new signings - after all, Duxbury said at the Fan event in February that the squad was complete for positions and had taken 3 years to be so. Any signings were now not about filling gaps but increasing quality.
I think most of us would have been happy with 3 new players of quality....the seeming lack of progress on turning the 1 we have made to 3 is beginning to worry me a bit.
I''d be happy with 2 more quality additions to the squad and not lose any of our high profile players. I think this is where it gets complicated, as I don't think Gino has much experience dealing with such high transfer fees. Selling players at high fees, Gino is the master, but not when the shoe is on the other foot and it's us potentially spending 20-30 million. That's a lot of money for a club like us and yet we may be ambitious, a bad deal could put our accounts in the red for a while.
Why are people panicking? Most were resigned to losing Doucoure this window, that hasn’t happened ( yet ). If Chalobah stays fit it’ll be like a new signing. Add Cucho, Pedro & Penaranda into the mix, I’m more than happy...though our full backs are all *****.
I think it was the poor set of results at the end of last season that people judge the quality of the squad by rather than the good start in August and September last year. We know that it is the quality of recruitment now rather than volume,(that happened in last few years to create a Premier League squad from the championship one that got promotion), that will now improve our playing options. Having assembled the squad and put roots down in the Premier league. It is now about sustaining our position and improving where we can . And of course replacing players as they leave (Dawson for Britos). I never thought we would make many first 11 signings this window.
Corrected for you.
We signed a centre back that everybody wanted and it looks like we heavily interested in a winger. We haven't lost anybody so not sure what the panic is to be honest. What other players are we desperate for? It's not us that do this. I remember the amount of criticism that Spurs received last year because they hadn't bought anybody and they ended up 3rd in the league and Champions League finalists. People are obsessed with their club spending money. If we signed Sarr and that was it I would be happy
Those additions are quite a big if; it's perfectly possible, likely even, that Penaranda will be the only one involved this season, and he hasn't managed to make much of an impact yet having been here for an entire season already.
