    Hi everyone,

It’d be nice to be able to write as positively as usual today, but I have to admit that I’m still irked by our last two results at Sheffield United and Burnley.

In both games we’ve been in a position to close it out and get a point or three, so to come away with no points makes me fairly annoyed to say the least.

We’ve got a lot of injury problems at the moment, yes, but that’s no excuse in games where you get yourself a foothold only to let it go.

It’s okay Will Hoskins scoring two goals, but that should be matched by a clean sheet to make it a great story, not a sob story.

Of course, before we all get too down on ourselves, it’s not something that can’t be worked on. We’ve closed games out before and we’ll close plenty more out in the future I’m sure, we just need to start doing it sooner rather than later.

This week will be about getting back to basics on the training pitch and making sure the players get back to what they’re undoubtedly good at. Consistency, individually and collectively is the key.

If we can get back to doing that then we’ll also get back to winning games. And if we can get back to winning games then we’ll also get back to being in the thick of the action in this competitive Championship league.

I’d like to mention both Darren Ward and Mark Tyler finally, and welcome them both to the club. As we saw with Sam Sodje – who’s gone back to Reading injured – it’s not easy to be thrust straight into a new team, but I’m glad of the reinforcements and hopefully both boys are glad to be here.

It’s quite an irony that Darren comes back to us, to where it all began. He, like so many of our players, is an Academy graduate and maybe it’s quite fitting that he’ll be looking to make his second home debut on what is Academy Day at Vicarage Road this weekend.

There’s plenty going on around the ground so I’m told to make sure you get there early and remember too that it’s ‘kids go free’ day at the ground - so get yourself along with the family and get shouting for us!

What we’ve got now is a really important home game against Preston North End before we head off into another international break and, as ever, we’ll need your support to help us get back on track in that one.

    Come on!

Is that an actual e-mail from aidy because i havnt received one yet or is it your attempt at writing one for him because it sounds like all the same excuses that he makes every time we lose. People that know me know that i am usually a very positive supporter of WFC but Aidy is really getting on my nerves with all this getting back to basics bull!!
When was the last time we did this...the begining of last season...who are you trying to kid Aidy!

    I want my brick back...

When they sent out that daft message about accepting mail from other businesses - which I declined, I posted on here (in irony) that they would probably cut off future club communications.

Since then I havn`t received any emails so obviously they have written me off as a supporter too - perhaps I should bring this up at the shareholders AGM & ask for my brick back:]]
